Chatter throughout shows is generally fine. Just that during Shiki, it was louder than the show itself. Feelgood vibe overcame the room during Natsume Yujinchou, though.

Im still sub conciously expecting another episode of Kuragehime, I just cant shake off the feeling that theres more. Such a shame that series is good very good.

Natsume Yujinchou might fill that gap for me, im really liking it. The whole shinto thing is cool and I know theres a lot of underlying messages if i knew what each god meant exactly. I usually dislike episodic anime but this one is just good enough to keep me intersted.

I wanted to give Shiki a chance i really did but it took 6 whole episodes to get barely exciting. If this keeps up its gonna be really boring. I understand they are going with the whole realistic thing but 6 eps in and they are still setting up wow.

Anyway looking forward to seeing Level E.

Shiki has a slow buildup, then the s.hit starts to hit the fan. This series has one of the highest overt bodycounts of almost any series I know. People dying en masse in the Gundam notwithstanding.

At the start of the year I heard that there was supposed to be an extra episode released at the end of January, but heard nothing more about it since. Shame really...

anidb doesn't list an extra episode. At least, not yet. This doesn't mean there won't be an extra episode of Kuragehime.... I mean, there is supposed to be two extra episodes of Shiki in the works, too, for the dvd release, and they haven't surfaced, yet. And I know they exist, because there were previews for the first in the end credits of the final tv episode.

That's true mind you there episodes that cover certain people prior to the last 3 episodes as to answer people's where abouts following up to the village massacre.

That episode is gold.

As for extra eps - they're becoming standard lately. In the case of Kuragehime, I don't think its sales hit the profit margin, so that may explain why an extra episode didn't appear. Moto Hagio, one of the early pillars of shoujo manga, was a VERY big fan of Kuragehime, but I'd wonder how he would have felt about how that ending was botched. I recall hearing Sora No Woto would have extra eps but never saw them. The list goes on. Best example of extra episodes that were good would probably be the two half-episodes of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu that emerged about a year after it finished.

Sora no Woto got at least one extra episode. Like most of the show, it wasn't very good, unless you like fuel for lesbian coupling theories. Of course, in such a case you'd probably even watch a show based around genderswapped Warring States Period rulers wearing flattering outfits and falling in love with a middle school girl from the future and another dimension.

I'm going to shut my mouth now.
Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.
It’s commonly known when you look north in Japan East is to your left. Please don’t try to correct that sentence. It lasts only for a second but I wouldn’t expect a mistake like that.

If you aren't watching it for Nobunaga Revy, then there is no good reason you're watching it. 8)

Anyways. Sora no Woto had two extra eps... one set in the middle where everyone played war games because they got drunk, and the second which follows the final tv episode and reveals what Rio was doing whilst she was getting married to the Roman Emperor and the future of the world they live in. I'm not going to mention my opinion of the standard of the show, because I've already done that.... Apart from A1 Pictures doing their best to become the new Gonzo.

It should already be out, according to this:

As for not being on AniDB, if won't go up unless someone actually puts it there.

AniDB are completists. If the episode existed, it would be there. Which probably just means the dvd the episode is to appear on hasn't been released, yet. They were only advertising the first BD for Kuragehime halfway through last season when Fractale and Wandering Son were screening.... And being a Japanese BD release, that means 2 episodes per disc. The ova extra will probably be on disc 6.

Oh, and Mappy's Music Box No.9 is currently under construction. Whether we use it this Movie Night or the next is entirely up to how far anyone else who is planning one has got with their selection.

If you want a large pile of 70s openings from a certain genre of which I am fond, I have a large sum of them prepared for you. Otherwise I'll just use them to make my own.

Sam is also keen to do a music box.

However, I believe the next one Greg had shotgunned for himself. And that it would be in July.

Wouldn't know. Saw the first few minutes of the first episode and thought "yep, this is a Jason kinda series" and haven't watched any more since.
