My suggestions =

Genshiken II > Moyashimon
xxx-HOLiC Kei > Shion no Ou
Higurashi Kai > Ghost Hound
Darker Than Black > Baccano

I haven't thought very hard about this. 8)

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. 8) That, or Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Someone asked me why Zero no Tsukaima will never be played at AJAS. What should I tell them?

But he has watched it, and doesn't seem to realize it isn't suitable for display in a public arena. :hmmm:

My two cents:

Darker Than Black > Baccano
XXX-holic Kei > Crystal Blaze or Emma or Lovely Complex or Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann
Genshiken 2 > Minami-ke or True Tears
Higurashi 2 > Nijuu-Mensou no Musume (The Daughter of Twenty Faces)
Dennou Coil > Shion no Ou

Mappy, that was very sly of you to suggest Moyashimon. :P You were kidding, right?

As for the sanitation debate, I attest that Sekirei and Kanokon are more guilty in that area.

Well, my reasoning behind my suggestions are the playlist might benefit from:

1. A couple of series with solid stories. Something that was thought out from start to finish and not reworked in between each episode.
2. A couple with some proper action. Solely relying on CG isn't a good idea, plus some action without a melodrama overload might be good. That is not to slander CG though, I do find it a positive experience to watch.
3. A proper romance wouldn't hurt, it would balance out the darker/supernatural series that have constructed the majority of the playlist this year.
4. Something cute. It lightens up the night. While Kamichu wasn't always great, it was fun overall and was a nice light moment most of the time.

I based mine on stuff released this year... if I go earlier my list would be a hybrid of Mappy's and mine.

Well I look primarily at 2008 first and managed to find a few but there isn't that much to rave on about past the 2008 series we're already playing, so delving back into 2007 is probably necessary. Which isn't wrong at all, most of the top 10 in the voting for what we played in 2007 was 2006 series.

No. Because it is funny and it has the potential to make people squirm in their seats. I like making people do that. 8)

The only show I'm dubious about passing the 5 episode test, in my suggestions at least, is Ghost Hound, which is why I'd put it in the last slot. It's a wonderfully creepy show, but it is slow and the last episode is a bit of a shocker. But I support any show in the Serial Experiments Lain school of anime production. :)

Actually, three of my suggestions are brain-fornicators, to varying degrees.... 8)

You just want an excuse to watch Kei-chan.

Isn't Lovely Complex the one with the tallest girl and the shortest boy in their class?

If so, it was brilliant, funny... would definetly be very appealing for the girls that attends AJAS (and the guys....)

Moyashimon and Ghost Hound, yes, squirmable. I don't see Baccano or Shion as being like that, though.

I heard in the last episode of Higurashi Kai, Shion sleeps with Keiichi and then Shion turns into a Demon with many tentacles, she then turns Keiichi into a female and proceeds to do some stuff to him which I cannot mention on this board. Is this true or am I thinking of another series?

No, moments like the one 2 minutes from the end of CG R2 Ep 11 are far more appealing thank you.

Yes, I know I wasn't there Tuesday night but I watched 11-18 tonight. First anime marathon-like stint I've done in a while. That moment near the end of 11 was pure gold.

They've reached the point where they are clearly coming up with it as they go along. At least they can't do many flashbacks that way.

It gets better from 12 onwards. That's all I'm going to say. Except for this.

The creator finished writing the story months ago. It's finished, done. There will be no sequel. The thing is palnned out and has been for some time.

Next time, check your facts, Atory.

When did I say it was a bad thing that they were coming up with it as it went? I prefer it that way, gives the feeling of more suspense. Randomness is no where near boring.
Why would I read ahead? What's the point in that? I'd rather enjoy not knowing what's next. You don't read the ending of a novel before its time.
Damn... no third series. Thanks for limiting my view on the show *sarcasm*.

Episode 19 airs tonight. The show has been written.

Admitted there is a random feel at times but that's more form the melodrama. I assure you, 12-15 are very solid and planned. I didn't read ahead. I watched 11-18 in one sitting to compensate for not being able to make it to AJAS on the Tuesday that jsut was.

We are in H2-02 for the month of August, so you were at the wrong place and we made an error in not leaving directions. I'll remind Greg to include the room in the topic.
