A.N.N. and the wonders of the Internets

by Mappy » Thu Oct 14, 2010 9:59 pm

As you probably know, ANN's streaming of Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai and Togainu no Chi have been suspended because of someone (coughHorribleSubsprobablycough) downloading OreImo's 2nd episode and releasing it before its Japanese broadcast. Exactly as had happened last year with Funimation and One Piece, an event of which ANN's staff were highly vocal, especially in their criticism of the lack of Funimation's security procedures....

To be frank, this couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of self-styled superfans.

Horrible said they wished they were the ones to do it, but weren't actually.

It was probably OtaKing.
Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.
It’s commonly known when you look north in Japan East is to your left. Please don’t try to correct that sentence. It lasts only for a second but I wouldn’t expect a mistake like that.

Took them nearly a week to make a formal statement and refund the money of their subscribers. :w00t: (Really wish I had a shot of that guy doing that hilarious face in that vid of that Aussie commenting on the book burning, but that's close)

Considering all it took was to change the URL from Ep1 to Ep2.....Even Blind Freddie could have taken it.
Disgusting...
