House is officially the most watched show in the world

US drama House is officially the world's most watched television show.

According to ratings agency Eurodata TV Worldwide, House, starring Hugh Laurie as quirky medical genius Doctor Gregory House, last year topped 81.8 million viewers.

That was far more than previous winners in the same TV drama category, CSI: Las Vegas and its spin-off CSI: Miami.

In comedy, Desperate Housewives came out on top of Monk and Ugly Betty, while The Bold and the Beautiful was most popular soap.


Well, it's good to know the world has some taste still. :) Hugh Laurie - what a legend.

Even more than... the news?
Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.
