DOS attacks, from various sources, probably through Rizon's irc community. Moot chose to pull the plug rather than let them continue. Might be coming back online soon, not really sure. 420chan also suffered. 7chan might have, as well, but they're so shite one doesn't know whether it's just 7chan being 7chan.

iichan is still up and running, though.

D;

Ironically, http://www.rizon.net is now timing out.

Revenge? It would teach them to mess with the internet hackers on steroids. 8)

The whole thing is just a fight between hackers, and rizon isn't the only group involved. It's all pretty pointless in the end, because you aren't actually seeing the reaction of the people you're trying to screw over (getting lulz in a complete vacuum, really).

You have to go to the depths of wow forums for this one but this is another form of proof to support mappy's statement

Hornet's nest, Anonymous legion etc.

I suspect a new martyr akin to Hal Turner may be spawned from this. Supposedly the enemy are furries. I will enjoy watching the fallout from this. 8)

Is it can be vampire bot tiem now plz? Man, I haven't used that thing since I was underage b& XD Just give me an address to fire it at. >:)

Also, perhaps a mappysplit is in order. I don't see what 4chan has to do with vending machines.

I don't see the problem, both are related to Japan, both articles are based on nothing but other people suffering so to me its fine. Besides you might need the vending machine costume to protect yourself from the horrors of 4chan on the computer screen, so its totally related.

It's all because of a bunch of crybabies not getting their way by effectively putting the underground otaku community on ONE IRC server (which could possibly lead to complications if one *Chan becomes investigated by a law enforcement agency).

DDoS? Hah, that's nothing but a hacker's temper tantrum. All these guys are saying is "WAH! I WANT #4CHAN ON MY IRC SERVER!"

... Retards should accept competition and grow up. :x

Also, I didn't split this thread, so it isn't technically a Mappysplit(tm).

DDoS attacks aren't things done by hackers. anyone who resorts to them is just a script kiddie, which is what i'd expect of those that hang around on the *chans

Translation: I wish to announce to you that I have the requisite skills to cause you much distress whilst you are attempting to go about your daily use of the internet. When I cause a DDoS attack upon your servers and/or wherever you feel the need to base your internet operations, you are going to, in some form, feel despair at the fact that I am doing so. Have a nice day.

Do you own the bandwidth for that image? Even if it's only a small image like that people generally don't like having it stolen.

You could use imageshack or something...

on a slightly different topic, substitution ciphers make adult jesus angry (and sufficiently long messages encoded using such methods are surprisingly easy to decipher)
