Non-student Parking

by Bazza » Fri Jul 13, 2007 12:32 pm

I was wondering if non-uni students are allowed to use the underground parking area between North Terrace and the collection room. I'm assuming since it's outside of the uni hours it might be allowed.

I've seen a certain green Lexus Soarer owner utilizing the facilities but I thought I'd get an official word before throwing the Bazmobile down there.

Also; free rides home are offered for anyone living in the St. Agnes/Banksia Park areas (ie: James). 8)

She's mostly fixed. Still has a slight ECCS issue causing problems at and near idle speed but other then that is fine. 8)

Asurin, I recommend you get your car looked at by a mechanic, that doesn't sound healthy.

This is about the tenth thread I've read this week that makes cars sound like much more trouble than they're worth. Confirm/Deny?

Deny, no matter how bad a car is running or what repairs it may need, it's preferable to not having a car.

If you are willing to pay for it, it is safe to park there (it is free after 6pm anyway).

I have no idea how much it costs to park under there on a weekend but I do know that the road at the northern edge of the uni only costs 20c for 3 hours.

Took it to a Auto electrician and he said to bring it back when it won't go at all.

I had the same problem again on Sunday. Waited a minute with the radio on and then started ok. I asked some guys at work and the reckon it could be the regulator.

It's code for "we don't want to fix your shitetank, go away". A common tactic with people whose job it is to fix cars. 8)

Try this code phrase the next time you go to the hospital ...

"Excuse me , I fell in the bath-tub"

or maybe "We don't know what we're doing!"

no wait, the code phrase for that is "The <insert> will have to be replaced, go to a specialist in <type>"

In my case it was an air conditioner that was SNAFUd... the mechanic said the compressor needed replacing and would cost around $1500. The air con specialist replaced 2 o-rings and refilled the coolant and it worked, total bill was under $100.

According to my decoder ring that is code for "I have a, bath plug and/or bar of soap, jammed somewhere unpleasant"

And the car did it again today. Drove into Manno Para shopping centre this morning and when i went to leave the car wouldn't start. Ran the radio for 1-2 mins and it started right up. Otherwise without the radio trick it will take 15 mins to come good.

It always does this after short trips which is why I think the battery is getting overcharged. Eg amps or Volts is too high for some crappy component in my car. Running the radio seems to fix it.

I know that it isn't temperature related as it has done it in all kinds of weather.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Driving into the shopping center.... most people stop at the car park and walk the rest of the way.
