Japan dominates the Melbourne Cup

by Last Exile » Wed Nov 08, 2006 11:03 pm

The Aussie stayers fall to the wayside, the Irish stayers slip into the drink. Japan makes it into the big time at Flemington, taking the top 2 positions with Delta Blues edging out Pop Rock for the big race. Both horses being owned by the same trainer making it that much sweeter. Connections are preparing for an even bigger Japanese assault on the big race next year.

Did anyone see that guy's acceptance speech? News readers couldn't contol themselves from laughing like crazy when they heard him.
Disgusting...

Somehow I get the feeling that his English language skills weren't quite up to the task of the interview. "What does it mean to you to have won the Melbourne Cup?""Mean to???"

Yes, and I bet they'd end up flogging the horses for the utmost speed to get away.

They should get round in record time, then.
