I used this image as my background for a while.

Says something about me, I suppose....

Lightbox doesn't seem to want to work with it, either....

I wouldn't call the picture mürrisch, since the characters are smiling. It's usually hard to tell when you turn Marimite characters into aliens. 8)

Lightbox works if you hit the button marked "Lightbox", I don't know what happened to it automatically working with "Img", something to get Tim to have a look at later when he has some spare time.

What I did. What I usually do. Pity the only image that came up was one telling me the image couldn't connect....

....despite it obviously being there.... Dunno, probably a temp glitch, or something.

EDIT: It seems to be working now.

Let me check how it works with mine.

Okay, it has no trouble creating thumbnails for images hosted in the same location as the forum, but fails with off-site images. I'll get Tim to take a look.

It's always a WTF? moment when Bazza manages to get something to work when it fails for me. Those interested in Stormy's posts may want to save them now as he has the nasty habit of posting direct from koichan.

NIGHT Elves are very tasteful. BLOOD Elves are the ones with no class, taste or shame. Big difference. A Blood Elf would be wearing the bare minimum, if that.

what's wrong with nyuu?

if it's in reference to the what i plan on changing it to: i don't intend on using photos of under-dressed women, it's just that i wouldn't like having a badly picked actor staring back at me whenever i use Vika (my laptop, for those with minds as filthy as mine)

I googled it, as I do with most of my wallpapers ;p

But once my download list finished, I was intending to acquire this game

i should be giving the game to ryan at next ajas. it's pretty good, although the only english patch available only goes up to the end of chapter 1, so not very far. while the translators are making good progress, it'll be some time before they finish the entire game

Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.

I've seen far worse thanks to someone that was once in my WoW guild and was obsessed with Fate to the point he showed all the lingerie and upskirt shots on the forums. He was outcast for life.

Much as I think having a magic girl show where the main character defeats her enemies with Firepower, as opposed to The Power of Love  , is an improvement on the genre, the amount of minderjährigen mädchen included in said package makes me cringe.... Yeah, this is going to improve the image of anime fans in the eyes of the general population.... :hmm:

Oh, and on the subject of cringeworthy minderjährigen mädchen, the Sky Girls opening theme is actually quite awesome. The show is even.... watchable.... as long as you ignore.... ahem. Moving along.

Funnily enough, this actually looks good, being that it is on a larger screen with a higher resolution, thus reducing the clutter! Though for most of you perfectionists.... the image wouldn't be sharp enough for yous!

:? I thought you said you had everything that was on my photobucket account.

Unfortunately, no. That was one of about 30 odd-Haruhi wallpapers I found on a Ukrainian site, of all places. :? This was one of only two resolutions from memory, neither were close to 1600 x 1200, sorry. I'll see if I can find that site again.

That's debatable, both have their perks and downfalls. Coming from someone who is in no rush to obtain either.

The wallpaper you posted would look a lot more awesome if it used the golden ratio and positioned the character further to the right.

Have you seen how people quote on NFOs, Mappy? Every 2nd-3rd post is quoted.

I copied the wrong one, dialup surfing ftl. Meant to link the one I just found, not that other one, both were on the same site.

I'd like to point out that the original of Bazza's wallpaper is itself a rehash of another picture, which I would dig up to post but I don't have the time to go through the pictures on my harddrive.

Aria/Aqua wallpapers always ftw. :)

I had to reduce the size of these so my poor dialup connection would allow me to upload them to my photobuttock account without suffering a seizure. One of them is close to 2MB in size. Resolution makes it look nice as a wallpaper, though....

It would just be creepier if in the 4chan folder there were separate folders for the different boards.

I've got an 'invisible cats' folder, the invisible bike etc. is the only kind of lolcat that I actually find funny. (Well that and the loljesus of "If you're Jesus and you know, it clap your hands!")
Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.

They probably weren't posted because they're not standard wallpaper resolution.

Here's my new wallpaper, just finished a reformat and reinstall.

Tommy, what program do you use to support your taskbar across dual monitors?

Thanks. That's allowed me to figure out how to do it with an ATI card. Mind, I'm not sure firefox likes it.

That's what I'm currently using. Horizontal span makes me dizzy while playing games as the second monitor mirrors the primary. Ultramon is more convenient. Oh wow, there is a limit on how many quotes can be embedded within one another.

We know you do.
On another note, your Geneon boxset of Kamichu will be immeasurably more awesome than Madman Entertainment's plans for the series. It is such a shame that they went belly up.

This world desperately needs more killmode Nanoha. And a 13-episode remake of season 3. But I'll settle for just more White Devil. :)

Er, hand-made wallpaper is hand-made. The bar at the bottom is covered by the XP taskbar, unless you're one of those that-way-inclined people who don't have one.

Why settle for one when you can have both? :) And despite seeing shots from the 1st episode of R2, I still believe Pizza Butt is superior to Bunny Booty.

Lightbox works by making a smaller thumbnail of a larger image that can be expanded by left clicking and you can either navigate to or save the original by right clicking. This means that yes, you put the full sized image into the lightbox.

I had to Google who Ernest Borgnine was. How I ended up with pictures of a man whom I don't even know is beyond me.

In any case; I foud this this morning. Detexted it and played with some colours. Enjoy.

@Hamish: Indeed FLCL is freaking cool. If you're looking for the original art from which those poses of Mion and Shion came from, it's somewhere in my Photobucket account. I may have posted it here or in the Anime Images Thread.

Fire away, Atory, but I don't care. I think this one is freaking awesome.

Nice pic Garrygod! I'm glad i saw it before someone was offended and it was deleted. You must remember that most of the people on this forum have never seen a real nipple. Personally, it doesn't appeal much to me - i prefer the perfect flat chests of cute LLoli's.

The first image I had considered to be more "wardrobe malfuction" than anything in violation of the rules (wm's do happen sometimes, just watch Funniest home Videos to see that sort of thing happening). The second image is a little more questionable, but still passes (however I'm not sure about the rest of the website).

An idea would be to use an image-hoster to show pics from, just to add some safety from the mods.

An idea would be to use an image-hoster to show pics from, just to add some safety from the mods.

Combattler whacking himself in the head with Chodenji Yo-yo makes me smile every time.

I'm rather fond of simple wallpapers. They have something pretty while also letting you locate icons with ease.

Actually the wide screen broadcast hasn't been screened at all yet (at least not that episode). The image was just a fan speculation at Sankaku Complex. I'd link it to the page... but you all know what that place is like...

just search "Mio Anamorphic Panchira Fantasy"

yeah i know all about the picture's origin and were its from but i was looking at getting a new wallpaper cause my new screen needed some refreshing colour :P and i checked nobm.org and they updated the 1920x1200 gallery with k-on! and some basic east of Eden. so i got it in the resolution i wanted it in...not sankaku complex...

This is anime. You can never be sure if characters are truly women. Except for Cattleya. And she's probably futanari.

Looking at it again, I'm almost certain it is Saikyou Robo Daiohja.

Aha, so the O in The O is for orange!
Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.
It’s commonly known when you look north in Japan East is to your left. Please don’t try to correct that sentence. It lasts only for a second but I wouldn’t expect a mistake like that.

Then you realise she's completely irrelevant once Michael takes the Pineapple Salad-induced death for Ozma.

Ah well. The best female Zentraedi will always be Miria. Have some Macross wallpapers.

The three thematic pillars of Macross are music, missiles and love triangle, mate. My biggest gripe with the Frontier songs was that rather than exploring a new genre like each successive series has done (SDF: Pop, Plus: Techno and Folk, 7: Glam Rock, Zero: Ethnic) they merely returned to pop. That, and the unnecessary spamming of goddamn Aimo. Hell, not even the 20 episodes of constant Planet Dance in 7 were as bad as Aimo.

Have a poster.

SDF Macross is the most similar to Frontier. However, the love triangle is introduced nowhere near as early, so world building and mystery abound! It slowly builds up to kickassery and is quite enjoyable.
The movie version, Do You Remember Love? has delicious overshading, a heavily altered plot but is still certainly worth a watch. If only for attempting to find the budweiser can missile on your first watch.
Macross Plus is nice and short (either the four episode OVA or movie version is fine. Former has more extended plot, the latter an extra dogfight) and the most militaristic. The YF-19 is also sex in plane form.
Macross 7 is the most eighties show to ever be made in the mid-90s. It's all about a rock band becoming famous, then using speaker missiles and lasers of rock to shock space vampires into ROCKING OUT. Well, unless you're a female space vampire. Then you orgasm to the awesome that is Basara Nekki's rock and roll. Also Max being awesome, and twenty episodes of PLANET DANCE. Yeah, the music is the most focused on aspect of 7. Did I mention that the OVAs have a lesbian band manager and rocking out with space whales?
Macross Zero has negligible plot in favour or action scenes that are practically pornography in their sexiness. Also a nice, short watch.

On a completely different note, have some Turn Systems.

Good to know I'm not the only one. I thought I was doing it wrong.

Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.
