Suggestion about ending Death Note this year

by White Demon » Tue Nov 13, 2007 10:52 pm

I have a suggestion that involves ending Death Note this year, instead of starting a new show when Pumpkin Scissors ends.

The final episode of Pumpkin Scissors plays on 27/11, right? And I've heard that we'll be going all the way up to 18/12 this year. If this is correct, then instead of starting a new anime and only having 3 or 4 eps played before we break, as well as leaving Death Note hanging on the last 2 or 3 eps until next year, I've worked out that we can end up Death Note by playing 2 eps per meet for the rest of the year.

Here's a quick chart to show this:

date.....pumpkin scissors.....death note

20/11....23..........................31
27/11....24..........................32
4/12...................................33
11/12.................................34+35
18/12.................................36+37

If Death Note is played like this, including one ep on the December OVA night (if we have one) it will be ended this year, then we can have two new Animes (Higurashi Kai and School Days maybe?) starting together at the start of next year, instead of leaving not one but TWO animes hanging this year if a new one is started.

What do others think of this idea?

Oh, and in case anyone thinks of mentioning about that all the other animes will be left hanging anyway, yes I realise that, but they would have no chance of ending this year anyways. Death Note does have a chance, and I think that is the type of anime we should end up cleanly this year.

Isn't it generally better to end shows at the start of the university year - Eg, when we get the influx of people who come for two weeks and disappear? :P

I second White Demon's suggestion. I'm at that point in my own watching, I want to see the end this year.

If we do this, there will be three new shows starting in 2008, as Lucky Star finishes on the last meeting this year. I think.

Sounds good to me. More chance of so something relevant to my interests appearing. 8)

Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.

Well, I think one thing relevant to your interests is a given.

There are a ton of new shows out so I don't think that's much of a problem.
Best to end in a good way since half of the shows on the play-list right now have extremely bad endings.

Can you care to guess which ones?
