I wouldn't mind that...

If I had full control of the playlist everyone would come out of the session with only one question... WTF?

Trippy anime FTW! :D

Nah...

It would have Kemonozume for sure but I'd also have stuff like xxxHOLiC, Noein and Ayakashi.

I like artsy playlists. :)

How about a playlist of something like this:

Haibane Renmei
Serial Experiments Lain
Tekhnolyze
Paranoia Agent
Kino's Journey
FLCL
Voices of a Distant Star

Actually i was thinking of Mushishi, Haibane, Noiseman Rakuen, Space Odyssey 2001 (the anime version), Kino's Travel and Yukikaze final ep. Or Yokohama Kadaishi Kikou, at the risk being lynched by mob later. Or Korepan, a very symbolic and simple anime.

Even the new version of Negima is what I would consider as artsy but it is hugely debatable.

Since I know the reasons Seven of Four reads Negima, I could never call it artsy. -_-

I'd personally call FLCL artsy. Beneath the random wackiness was one of the deepest, most philosophical and inspiring series I'd ever seen.

Actually the reimagined anime version of Negima uses the typical Shndo's noir style of camera angles. it is pretty innovative for a story like Negima.

And err about the list , we've kinda played 60% of it already .

Haibane - played
Kogepan - played
Paranoia Ageny - played
Hoshi no Koe - played

On the other hand , you could try Noiseman ... just make sure everyone's on some dosage of meth in order to keep up with the pacing .

Yes, it looks incredibly pretty. And is completely without energy or soul. The other variants of this style worked on Pani Poni Dash and Tsukiyomi, but Negima is a combination of both and it just doesn't work, imo.

I also don't like the way his animation style depopulates the world. Apart from the main characters, there are very few background figures to suggest that there is a world outside the events being portrayed in his shows.

I take it you like the School Days endings, Paul. 8)

Initially I put in the 'jumper' clip but was abit worried about the gore level on a public forum .

Also strangely AnimeNfo + Anidb have bugger all info about the show .

also to note , Ryan was calling me a illegitim for stealing his idea and getting to it first . Up 1

The oav, itself, is a 15 minute intro to the game, so it doesn't really have any of the stuff that School Days is notorious for. And there are roughly 26 endings to the game, only about a third of which end in disaster like this. Though what upset a lot of players when the game first came out was how easy it was to end up with one of the disasterous endings because of the way it was set up.... Even if you were trying to keep on track with the main girl, innocent choices such as between walking around the school and going back to class would suddenly see you in bed with the other girl, Kotonoha. And Kotonoha, as the two endings I posted show, is not the least bit stable.

There is talk about a School Days anime in 2007, but if it turns out to be true, don't automatically expect it to be anything other than a dating sim tv anime adaptation.

But lets recap here .... AJAS is currently screening Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.

Point is , which studio wouldn't consider that to be A precedent ? Not that its the only one of course , just the one I can most think of .

It's only a precedent if they choose to do the same thing, ie a series which has the same story follow different paths to different conclusions. There is no guarantee of that. Look at the Type Moon shows.

But as I said, with the psychomoe thing going around, they're bound to use one of these endings in the anime as it is what School Days is most notorious for.

Doesn't deny the fact they're good. I distinctly Azumanga Daioh getting a rerun when we were desperately low on anything worth playing last year. The even sadder part was reruns of AD were outdoing the other stuff.

We only played the preview, never played the first five episodes so it hasn't officially been voted off.

Episode 1 of Kino no Tabi is yet to be played at AJAS. What was played was the unaired 12 minute pilot.
