I beat you to it Ryan. >=D

Also, are there any decent Rozen Maidens around? I want some for my mantlepiece. :P

I have a few I bought that I want out of my house. The Winter Special Rei and Auska, FFX Yuna, and probably the Ikitoussen, don't know which character, never saw Ikitoussen (short blue hair, eye patch). The ones I love are my 1/8 scale Rin from Fate/Stay, Ohno from Genshiken (in Samurai COSPLAY!) and my BOME figures... they're cute. Still want a 1/6 Scale Saber for aesthetics... but I'd prefer to buy new shirts... or jeans... or maybe some new shoes.

I just got my first two a few days ago... Ryu and Rachel from Ninja Gaiden. I'll be getting Kureha for my birthday from my best friend (I've currently got a Kasumi Ver2 sitting in my room which is for him). If anyone knows where the Ayane Ninja Gaiden statue is let me know. I'm trying to get the set.

1:1 Scale Fate/Stay Night Saber figure

by stormy001 » Mon Oct 02, 2006 11:08 am

Honestly, I am pretty scared to think what some individuals will do with this....

http://www.dmm.com/mono/hobby/doll/fate/

The height of this item is 1.54 m. As it is said on the website, the whole setup can cost around 480,000 Yen.

I adored Saber character design but this is simply madness to me.

I know an individual who has been looking for this... that is if the costume is wearable. I'll have to let her know... she may at least be able to use the swords for her cosplay.

Edit: I realised the price... She would be better off making it herself.

Naru's in a wedding dress, Shinobu is in purple. I don't think those 2 were the RPG version. Because Naru's RPG verson was Gokou.

I'm pretty sure that is the same Mokona I'm after... If you're heading past shinTokyo soon compare the size of that one to the White one in the cabinet out the front of shinTokyo. I might take you up on that online order as it would most likely be cheaper and quicker to get it.

Probably not (but then again, it is Japan, isn't it)

Here's another picture of Saber in some other outfits (although the sword, which is priced at an additional 150,000 yen, looks kinda cheap-looking):

New guy here. I have a bit of a collection of stuff... which is all back home in Malaysia. I managed to bring a 1/8 Alter Caren Hortensia from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia over though.

I did stumble across a bunch of fake.... trading figures. I knew they were too cheap to be true. Ugly things D:

Even though I kinda hate how Gundam SEED Destiny, I wonder why I buy these.... oh so pretty heroine sets.

Damn thing is actually pretty hard to pose. Zeonography Kampfer. Cost me HK$300. Sounds about right comparing it with websites.

Image
Kuro Saber. HK$90. Obviously a bootleg. But it looked good and I always wanted one.

Image
Kotokubiya Caren. HK$200. Thats still very cheap for a 1/8 model... but the holo Type-Moon sticker doesn't lie..... its real.

Sino Center in Hong Kong, Mongkok is a great place to fish for cheap new figures.

Well since the goods are made in China..... Hong Kong just kinda gets them cheap. Either smuggled, cheaper import routes or something, but stuff there get sold at like a 25-75% price reduction. Of course theres bootlegs all over the place so you have to watch out. Do not trust stuff you can't see yourself. Type-Moon figures have like holo stickers, other goods might have these little indications that say its real.

Well lesee....
RM1= HK$2
AU$1=RM2.7

So I suppose its roughly AU$1=HK$5.40

Roughly.

And a thing I noticed in Australia... well Melbourne and Sydney at least.... models around here cost alot more than the standard retail price I see around websites/shops back in Malaysia and stuff. But the only stuff I got are like... out of print. So maybe thats another matter.

I guess quality depends on the buyer, i know my idea of quality is below some members of AJAS.

I am guessing quality comparing is hard since as the only member here to see most of my collection is bazza, i would love to see some people's collections for real.

Has anyone else's PVC figurines melted over summer? Well, perhaps not quite melted into a puddle of molten plastic per se, but

This is quite disturbing considering how much I payed for these things. :?

Image

When I bought this one, she'd stand up no trouble, despite being somewhat unbalanced already by pure design.

Some time last summer the PVC in her legs apparently softened up enough to allow the weight of her torso and chest area (ahem) to pull her down to the point where she won't stand up by herself, as one would after more then a few at the local.

Time for a hot bath and some re-shaping of legs me thinks. 8)

Either buy better quality figures (if cheap material is the problem) or don't display them in direct heat.

I've found that the cheaper figurines will end up bending through warping of the PVC due to heat or stress caused by gravity due to unrealistic poses. Mostly the pegs that go up into the feet can't take the stress and have a tendency to bend. This is why I gave up buying cheap figurines and not view $100 to be the minimum spend for both aesthetics and materials.

Asking for age , regardless of getting answers or not ... he's just exercising his options .

As for the ladies , I think it matter's little to Madman even if you do lie about your age . After-all most seem to describe themselves being younger and therefore be closer to the target age group .

I don't think she gets the joke. :hmm:

The person who said she was 18 was the underage girl I took to bed last night, whom is now blackmailing me.

I got BOME 21 and 22 last week.

21 = Honey Bunnies
22 = Rin from Fate/Stay Night

#23 will be in soon, the absolutely divine Saber! ^^ Yes White, I know it's only BOME but I refuse to pay the prices of the other ones and what happened to her in Hollow/Ataraxia put me off from getting those versions.

Ie, chigai masu. (no, you are wrong) Every figurine is between 18-25 cm high, except for the Dokuru chan that Dhuman gave me.(and the twins obviously because they are crouching). Average cost between $45-$70. I doubt your figures are any better, because the detail on my figures are awesome, unlike your comment.

Of course I take it out of the box. I don't care about what it could be worth in a few years time, I care what they look like on my shelves. I haven't paid nearly $1,500 to look at boxes. Most of the figurines that end up worth anything are limited editions that cost a fortune to begin with or you have to wait decades before seeing any rise in value. Trying to make money on the chance that a figurine will become a collectible strikes me as a lousy and stupid investment.
Yes, some of my BOME figurines would probably be in better condition if still left in the box, due to the laws of physics and lousy manufacturing, but I fail to see why somebody would buy three dimensional artwork in order to view it from limited angles.

Well considering how much I'll be paying for the figure I saw in the December catalog, I am NEVER taking it out of the box! That artbook is gonna set me back a lot too. Pete was salivating big time.

I don't know if this is good or bad that I want the Tenjho Tenge sisters models, particularly Anya. I am really gutted that Madman owns them. Really gutted.

Perhaps, if my introduction to anime wasn't so... traumatic (HiMM being my actual first anime that wasn't Inu Yasha, DBZ, etc.) I may have turned out normal....

But that would be blutig boring imo. 8)

this is the one that i got

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Xmas-Sale-SKY-DE ... dZViewItem

US$10 + US$24 postage = Approx AU$40 it is resin and looks great, but don't expect a fancy art box or anything, comes in a white box with the picture on the front...

they no longer sell the Please teacher resin figure that i bought, though it was rare and a little more expensive

Max Factory generally only make PVC figures. If you've got a resin it's not the real deal.

I just checked the box for the C1 version I own. They are made out of PVC, weight is not an accurate way to judge materials.

Most resin figurines that I've seen are the type you assemble and paint yourself.

Speaking of Shin Tokyo, has anyone seen the new Haruhi figurines? They... are catgirls... With cat feet and hands and everything... why?

Also, I know they have a model of Haruhi playing the guitar behind the counter, is there Yuki playing guitar in her outfit? I vaguely remember possibly seeing one... couldn't see how much...

I bought one of those Haruhi guitar figures just before AvCon. It's a 1/8. The Yuki one was 1/6 and MUCH more costly. Hmm, Haruhi catgirl? Might need to check that out.

Kotobikuya are getting hold of Haruhi in the yellow swimsuit/torn jeans she was wearing on those racy wall scrolls. pre-orders up now, shipping currently set for Janurary.

A new Nenodroid version of Saber in Fate/Tiger Colosseum style is available in Japan. I want one. ><

Have: Yuki nagato (Swimsuit version. Out of all the possible random characters, I had to get the one I can't proudly display...), small Boo figure from Mario Kinder Surprise thing, and 2 JDM Option model cars (Re-Amemiya RX-8 and Vertex JZX100 Chaser). Planning to buy Yuki (Evil witch ver.) at some 'certain point'.. And maybe a Gundam model... And maybe an Armored Core model, if I decide I like one enough...

Yes, ShinTokyo have AC models, I can't tell you the exact price but they are cheaper than anything on eBay that I saw.

Thinking of bidding on this, it's a fairly large figure (19cm) what do you guys think? Either that or maybe this (same size)...

That Yuki is close to $100 in Shintokyo. There's still one there. Violet bunny outfit, think there was a guitar too. Not my thing, only person form that series that interests me at all is Haruhi.

I'm pretty sure a normal user can only delete their post if it's the latest post in a thread.

If you'd like to add to a post there are two options:
1) Use edit, however the post won't appear as new to anyone.
2) Copy the contents of the previous post to notepad or similar, delete previous post, create a new post with copied content and new content.

That could be why you regularly feel like that guy from Moyashimon. :( That and the lactose intolerance...

On topic, I recently got the figures I'd been waiting half a year for. My Haruhi summer swimsuit figure arrived a couple of weeks ago, very positive and smooth vibe from it. The C.C. figure I got a month ago was pretty decent for its low price - and still the only one I've seen that is worth buying. All the expensive ones just don't look anything like her at all...Finding a decent Kallen, however, is possible, but freaking expensive. You'd have to be be willing to fork out $150-$250 for one after shipping, which just isn't on in these times. And after years of searching, that Arcueid neko that I had been searching for finally appeared in Shintokyo randomly, which I bought immediately.

I'd like another C.C. and a Kallen. Wouldn't mind a Fate either. And there is a trio of FSN figures I want. But, money be the issue. :( Oh well, all in good time.

So, would you prefer plamoo in a separate thread, or part of this one? Regardless, have some blatant fanboyism.

Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.

As GarryGod said we went to town and get some figures yesterday. I know this is a bit off topic but I got a new 21.5" ture highdef screen today, because of that I need to rearrange my desk a bit for the second screen. Some pics of the new setup including the figure I bought yesterday.

Also got a Shana cup from Hong Kong.

If you think thats bad, I think ARTA8SIMS has the same set of speakers, keyboard, mouse and screen as me! Even the computer looks the same (minus the stickers)!

Unfortunately I only have one screen at the moment, but the two of them do look good side by side...

I picked this pair up at Shintokyo today on my way home from Uni. Well I'm not a big fan of SEGA's prize figures but this pair does look pretty well made so I picked it up anyway. Cost me $72 for this pair. It saids non scale but I can tell thats is around 1/7.

And my current collection from the start of the year.
