Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.

They're blutig lucky it was comedians and not terrorists who thought of it first.
Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.

Brilliant imo. Considering their lawyers actually consulted the cops and were told they'd be stopepd at the 1st checkpoint, but were let through two?! That's just appalling. So much for national security. Guess no one learnt anything from 9/11 or 10/12.
Disgusting...

The lawyers for the ABC didn't consult the police, they just assumed that they were competent enough t look inside cars that are passing through checkpoints. Considering how badly the cops bungled this one I wonder if they'll be able to secure a conviction.

It made the APEC conference more interesting than anything that was actually supposed to happen, and with far less antisocial disturbance to the operation of a naturally congested major city centre.

Anyone who knows Sydney will know that something like this should never have been run there, and that nobody really gave a flying phoaque about the poxy, useless APEC conference, anyway. Especially Sydneysiders.

The full footage makes the police look even less competent than the news reports suggest. They actually refused to look at the insecurity passes.

If you missed it it's repeated at 11:20 pm on Friday, or you can watch online http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/war/

Ahh, that was hilarious! I agree with ya edible_hat. Glad that it was comedians who did it first. The Chaser rocks my socks, lol
