FUJISAWA — Police on Wednesday were searching for the driver of a car that ran into a group of teenage boys who were fighting in the parking lot of a convenience store in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, on Tuesday night. Five of the boys sustained severe injuries, police said.

According to police, two groups of teenage boys, consisting of junior high and high school students, were fighting with iron pipes in the parking lot around 11:30 p.m. when one of the boys drove a stolen vehicle right into the mob. The youth fled the scene. Police are searching for him on a charge of attempted murder.
