i fail to see any sense or reason in your post. are you against kids being entertained in any way, or maybe you think it should be a non profit organisation?

"4Kids (NYSE: KDE) is an American film and television production company specializing in the acquisition, production and licensing of children's entertainment around the world. They are most known for their acquired television programs." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4Kids_Entertainment)

these programs include such shows as one peice, yu-gi-oh, mew mew power, shaman king, pokemon, ninja turtles, ultimate muscle etc etc -

anything but crap, id say.

keep up the good work i say.

You know, your argument was flying until you actually mentioned some of these titles. Then I realised that they were doing a good job by dubbing the arsch end of the anime industry. 8)

From what I remember of how I was as a kid, I would not have even countenanced watching any of these shows, with the exception of maybe One Piece. Tokyo MewMew/Mew Mew Power maybe later.

Are any of us likely to watch any of the titles 4kids release?

Not in the form 4kids put them out, no. Well, not me, anyway. Of the originals, I've gone 45 episodes of One Piece, 15 of Tokyo MewMew and 3 of Shaman King.

Did I mention 4Kids and Funimation have been snapping up titles that are M/MA rated recently? They're spreading their reign of terror.

It's not like Funimation or 4kids affect us :whistling:

One would have once said that about ADV. Look what happened to them.

You're missing my point.

That's only because of the Internet and people not giving a damn about ultimatums from Funimation so far. With Funimation altering its target demographic and the titles they have acquired over the last 3-4 months, it would affect DVD purchasers. They can even stuff up subs, I know that from experience. It doesn't take much to ruin subtitles.

And if I missed the point again, bygones. It's past 2am and I spent the last 5 hours on the limit laws, level curves and partial differentials of dual variable functions.

Sure my preference is for "real" anime these days but I still watch a lot of 4Kids anime (usually reruns on Cartoon Network or FOX8) and I'm just about to turn 19. They remind me of when I was younger. I just don't like growing up.

Madman has a kid? Is he the only AJAS member with children?

It's a scary thought, that one such as he has been able to breed.

The thought that he has a kid suddenly reminds me of Kimura-sensei of Azumanga Daioh!
