Live action Speed Racer out in May

I was too young to see the original series when it was around. Was it really worth making a live action out of it?

For all your guessing , it might end just like live action ...

I suspect they may be trying to cash in on the "zOMG InitiaRu Di!" craze. :P

Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.

I watched it when it first aired here in the early 70's. I didn't think much of it, then. Not a patch on other dubbed anime to air during that decade, such as Kimba, Astroboy (the original series, not the first revival from the early 80's), Marine Boy or, most especially, Battle of the Planets.

They're starting to scrape the bottom of the nostalgia barrel now that they've wrecked all the other shows from the 60's, 70's and 80's with half-a$$ed movie adaptations.
