Snow Fairy Sugar is covered with classical-type music. If you like that kinda music and don't mind the overly cute/sweet theme. And the fact that it feels like a kid's show now and then. But then its not quite music-centric... but the main character does play the piano. Alot.

And if you don't mind the yaoi, I guess theres that... Gravitation was it? But then I have no idea how musical that is at all.

Black Heaven is a title that you could try.

My opinion , Black Heaven is a title that you should NOT try .

Anyways , you could try the Macross series . Esp Macross Plus .
I must feel proud about the things I choose ...,

Be it Ero-games , doujinshi , or clothes ; its all the SAME !

I'd go with Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar, it's kinda like music oriented... I love the manga...

Lol, macross isn't that music oriented, but that girl... lyn minmei (or something like that, it's been ages since I watched macross...) was pretty good.

CCS XD, well.. Tomoyo sings...

Edit, ok, that was dumb -.-

Black Heaven is okay if you watch it only once.

Gravitation... I ain't touchin that with a thirty-foot pole. partly because of the yaoi, but mostly because music wise they only play one song...over and over again.

Snow Fairy Sugar hmm i'll check that out :D

i'll have to go thru the Macross series and hopefully find that one good one. i'd totally forgotten about that one. thanks!

He's not joking with this comment. After subjecting myself to 14 episodes of this tripe I found myself bashing my head into my desk every two minutes of footage.

Most people put up with (or like) Koge-Donbo's artwork because it isn't only exceptionally cute but almost always well-drawn. Try and apply that to an anime and you end up with something so sweetly cute that diabetes becomes a valid threat. And when you name the title character of an anime Sugar....

I guess my limit would be DigiCharat...

As for sugar, I watched a bit of the anime a long time ago (like... 4-5 years back, maybe even more..), and as far as I remembered it was okay.. I read vol 1 of the manga recently, and I actually liked it~!

That's because it is a good read and watch. Sugar's cuteness just drains your will to live.

Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch (cuteness)
Kaikan Phrase (serious j-rock show)
Idol Defence Force Hummingbird (old school)
Macross 7 (guitars and mecha)
Key the Metal Idol (grim)
Piano (slow)
Idol Project (whacked)
Megazone 23 (legendarily old)
To-Y (serious old-school oav)

Can't think of anything else right now.

FLCL - It was completely written around the music from The Pillows that was used in the episodes.

Last Exile - Very rustic, very emotive, tone-heavy and bombastic when it needed to be.
