Stuff to ask Crispin Freeman

by Last Exile » Thu Jul 26, 2012 1:41 pm

So I've literally just been asked by AVCon to interview Crispin Freeman for 15 mins tomorrow night.

Any suggestions for questions?!

Which was your favourite role in VideoGames/Anime?

I'll be dead in bed but I hope they stream it.

I don't think it is since it isnt even listed on Friday. I got asked out of the blue today to do it. I got Simeon and Levi to organise recording it, I'll link it and other stuff after AVCon.

Questions I thought of:

His first role (Zelgadis from Slayers)
Favourite roles
His views on changing trends and styles in the industry and how it affects his career
Roles from current shows he'd be interested in taking
What he thinks are the main differences between dub and original VAs
People in the industry (US and Japan) he looks up to/respects
Any role from past shows he wishes he could have done
Why Mark from Battle of the Planets is his #1 fave character
Why Allen from Escaflowne is his #2 fave character (SOMEONE LIKES ALLEN?!?!)
Differences between anime voicing and gaming voicing
How is it living off of VA acting in the US vs the stepping stone to J-Idol/hybrid attitude in Japan
What does he do on a daily basis to safeguard his voice since it's his most valuable asset in his career (and essential)
If you could recommend 5 shows to other people, which would they be
If you could be any anime or game character, which one would you pick
His passion/writings in mythology
If he had a couple of million dollars given to him to adapt a title or create a new title, which would he adapt or what would he create?

Though don't be surpised if the questions you asked don't go to plan? E.g Mark maybe his favourite character but it might of changed it by now!!!

Was wondering if this question would be more valid?
Out of roles you played between Video Games and Anime which role did you find the most difficult and which one did you find the most interesting?

Are you planning to live up to your family name and face FULL LIFE CONSEQUENCES?

Just think about all the nerdgasms you'd create with a line like that.

Added those two, thanks for that.

Looking into Crispin's Mythology presentations, he's done ones on:

- Differences between Western and Estaern dragons
- Mystics, Priestesses and Warrior Women (princess vs magical girl, female hero journey)
- Robots vs Superheroes

So I'll probably find something to ask from there.
