K-ON! has recently earned itself a title worthy of mention: the first TV anime series to ever reach the 500,000 Blu-Ray sales mark. It’s certainly an impressive feat, while K-ON! is undeniably popular, no one would think that it’s actually that popular!
The numbers are enough to break the record of Bakemonogatari, which previously held top place with 336,000 sales. Macross Frontier F followed behind in third place with 235,000 sales. All numbers were rounded up to the nearest thousand.
The figures, however, is a combination of both K-ON! and K-ON!!. As many others would argue, as a standalone, none of the K-ON! series would actually be comparable to Bakemonogatari and Macross Frontier F. Regardless, as a whole series together, K-ON! has done unbelievably well!
well it just dos'nt get any better than this... well looks like i might be picking it up after all...
