The only one im excited for up there is Fractale , I mean honestly this season sucks. I hope there will be something that surprises me.

The other show i will wach will be Wandering Son its Yutaka Yamamoto of Lucky Star theres no way it can be bad.

I know these two will be unpopular but im really intrigued with Supernatural and Wolverine ill check em out and hopefully not drop em like a certain other madhouse show currently airing.

and now my cutesy pick of the season goes to......... Houkago no Pleiades. I know nothing of this show but the character designs fascinate me and it has houkago init LoL.

Whilst it probably won't be entirely like it, if anyone wants to know the kind of humour to expect from Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Love(craft-sensei), tehre is a series of flash animations that was made earlier this year. Haiyoru Nyaruani. Especially if you want to see an ordinary human stick a fork into the hand of Nyarlothotep, the Creeping Chaos from Lovecraft's writings. Of course, Nyarlothotep decided it wanted to be the little girl in this show. So did Cthulu.

Lovecraft fans will probably curl up in madness at the concept of this show.

Well, it has been almost a year since the first series finished.

Anyways, Infinite Stratos, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika and Yumekui Merry next. And not a lot of promise between any of them.

Eden of the East bombed in sales. Kimi ni Todoke was I.G.'s only truly profitable series last year.

April has me freaking as well as January. When Stein's Gate is the only thing that has me interested yet knowing what happened with its predecessor, it's not looking good at all.

Survey results indicated Kimi ni Todoke season 2 was the series people looked forward to the most for January while Gosick was the one people were most intrigued by.

This season of Kimi no Todoke might only be 12 episodes. In which case they've just wasted one of the few.

A number of the studios have not been concentrating on their usual strengths over the last year or so. The financial situation must be pretty dire for them.

I'm guessing Garry likes that Freezing show.

Next: Beelzebub, Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu! and Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!!

These three really don't look that good. I've seen Mitsudomoe. Preteens with random sex/smut comedy worked for about 1 episode, then proceeded to get increasingly tired as it went along. Also Seitokai Yakuindomo did the sex jokes better. Beelzelbub will probably go on forever and join Fairy Tail as the new age shounen pap. I'm not even going to discuss the third show. I'm just not.

Takanashi Shuusuke has a predilection for collecting pornographic books, DVDs and pictures.
Nao is Shuusuke's younger sister. Rather than a cool older brother, she prefers the lewd older brother who desperately attempts to get a glimpse of her panties.
One day, Shuusuke's childhood friend Tsuchiura Iroha, whom he had not seen for 10 years, appears before the two and immediately throws herself at Shuusuke.
Thus, Shuusuke finds himself in a love triangle with Nao and Iroha.

at least thats what anidb say's i've seen different description...
also FFFFFFFF-ugly character design i'd rather watch mitsudomoe cause i found that more entertaining than saitokai yakuindo jokes were uber predictable and at the time i was like "ANOTHER SHOW ABOUT A SAITOKAI!!!! FUK THAT!"

I kinda liked the Gachi Rangers episode of Mitsudomoe.

Next up: Dragon Crisis, Kore wa Zombie Desuka? and Level E.

The first two shows could be watchable shite or just shite. The third is by the mangaka who gave us Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter.

....

That is followed by the proper first episode of Kimi ni Todoke on the 12th, and then the last new series on the 14th, the two noitaminA series Fractale and Hourou Musuko. There is another show called Otona Joshi no Anime Time, to be broadcast on NHK, but there is no sign of when it is going to start or what it is even about. And that's really it for this season, bar series overruning from last season, like Star Driver, Bakuman, SRW The Inspector, Tegami Bachi Reverse and Toaru Majutsu no Index II.

For those who care not to trawl through the millions of threads dedicated to Madoka Magica on /a/.... or those who have enough self-respect never to go anywhere near 4chan.... there is a wiki dedicated to the show. Yes, a series that has only 3 episodes, thus far, has its own blutig wiki.

http://wiki.puella-magi.net/Main_Page

Have a good laugh.

Fractale, Wandering Son and Kimi Ni Todoke S2 have rallied to make January worthwhile. Some great watching thus far.

But of course...Japan will only care about Madoka because Shinbo's tricks have suckered them in yet again.

you can say that again this would be the 2nd anime series my friend has stooped to buy the Blu Ray of the whole series... in japanese fuken massive Otaku...
so far only Level E, Freezing (queens blade fix), Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janaindakara ne!! (cause its in my nature to sit thru the lowest of the lowest show to torture my terrible taste in anime)

oddly as it may sound the series Level E is from a manga series that was around the 90's and its the same writer of that other show yu yu hakusho and hunter x hunter (two series i am not familiar with) but its a rather peculiar series of sci-fi comedy...

Both Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter are older-generation shounen series. The sort that go on forever. YYH is amusing for the first 20 episodes or so, but then starts to go down the endless fight road. I never got into HxH.

I must also confess that I don't hate Madoka. Its innate farkupedness has managed to slip through my normal Shinbo filter.

The direction in Fractale is still its weakest point. Almost anyone would have done a better job than Yamakan. Almost. Episode 7 would have been a really good episode, if not for the fact that the lead-in had been so godawfully clunky.

It certainly gets my underachieving series of the season award.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka has gone off the boil. After the killer was unmasked and all, what followed hasn't been all that interesting or funny. Though Deen can't be blamed for this, because they didn't create the original source material they are using. Still, who would have thought that Deen would create the most instantaneously watchable show of the season?

As for Madoka Magica.... It occurred to me a long time ago that this show will have no real rewatch value. It is great the first time round because it is all full of loldramatic revelations. But once you've seen it all, what's left? Cute girls eating sweets or being eaten by sweets.

Level E is still great, Wandering Son is still irritating, Yumekui Merry is still Kurokami with dreams, IS is still babby's first harem, Freezing is still babby's first harem gone horribly wrong, Gosick is still boring, Dragon Crisis is still bollocks, Kimi ni Todoke is still relationship reset, Mitusdomoe is still finished, Shouwa Monogatari is still not subbed, Suite Precure is still not Heartcatch Precure, Wolverine is still LOLMadhouse, Rio: Rainbow Gate is still dildos and Beelzebub is still tragically not canceled.

I've finally killed my month's bandwidth catching up to the damn show (720p is the devil. I miss 175MB mkvs with good encoding.) and I nuttted out just why. It's because the show's focus is purely on its mystery-driven plot. It's got a single season to cram in as many twists and turns as it can, and so it has left absolutely no room for character writing. Thus, it's just a bunch of archetypes getting traumatised. There's no reason to give a damn, because we've seen all these people in better delivered things before.

I'd peg the blame on the sole writer for the show being Gen "Blasreiter and Phantom" Urobuchi, but I don't think the fault goes to either him or Shinbo. It feels like sponsours are demanding a specifically edgy product to impress investors and awards shows with, regardless of how the staff would like to do things. After all, Shinbo's quite open about how he enjoys making character-driven shows the most. It's why he keeps going back to Hidamari Sketch and Arakawa.

Yeah, that's basically how it's going down this season. As terrible as Beelzebub is though, at least it's enthusiastic about being a dumb show instead of trying to be something it's not.
Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.
It’s commonly known when you look north in Japan East is to your left. Please don’t try to correct that sentence. It lasts only for a second but I wouldn’t expect a mistake like that.

Being enthusiastic about being stupid is not a virtue. If it was, Alabama would be the greatest place on Earth.
And Beelzebub is still tragically not canceled.

Eh. It's not like Pierrot would utilise any of the animators for something better anyway. Just leave them be.

They would if the 12 Kingdoms director got out of that coma.

Or if, you know, they just got someone else to finish it off for them. It wasn't as if one director was necessity for the project.

And Pierrot can do better. They have in the past. They just don't want to. They're too busy churning out unmitigated rubbish... that makes them money.

It's a business, after all.

Pierrot could be better at that too. They choose not to.
