Playlist - 29th April 2008

by Dhumahn » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:07 pm

If anybody gets the license for Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, well good luck to them...
(Ep 10 notes will be out either Wed or Thurs)

Apart from that, this week's playlist is as follows:

Dennou Coil 6
Kamichu 9
Nodame Cantabile 22
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 5 (vote)
Seirei no Moribito 18
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 11
Darker Than Black 11
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai 10

...enjoy.

haha! no
as people may be aware, i counted out the likelihood of it staying using only the people i knew disliked it and that was already enough to lose it

Probably add the required emotion garnish sprinkle-style. ;)

Code Geass R2 would be an obvious one a bit later in the year but when they're already running behind of schedule at episode 3, things are looking shaky in terms of generating a good episode supply. Kure-nai is going along fairly well by all reports, Alison & Lillia is another one. And then there's Druaga. I think there will be current material we can put on the playlist. Just not immediately.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Nodame Cantabile, Darker Than Black and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei only have a few episodes left (3, 3 and 2-3?)? Along with a bit more for Kamichu (5) and Seirei no Moribito (8)? There's going to be a major change of the playlist come June.

We could always put Simoun on. :) That would satisfy both the intellectuals and the ecchis.

Nodame Cantibille at this stage is being replaced by Genshiken Second series. Darker Than Black has 25 episodes, so no problem there. Zetsubou Sensei will probably flow into the next season, although I can't guarantee it. As for the other two, who knows.

Oh boy, Genshiken 2nd season. I wonder how much Episode 5 will 'affect' the vote.

Yes. By the end of that episode, people will be screaming "what has been seen cannot be unseen"! Either that or they will start making referrences to Green Green

For a cute/slice-of-life series to replace Kamichu, Minami-ke could work. Mappy liked that one quite a bit, my friends on other forums rave about it.

Ouran High School Host Club - that is my 'wish it could be unseen but can't.' :x And The Wallflower. :x

I had enough sense to stop watching Green Green by the end of the 2nd episode.

There's nothing wrong with Ouran. :?

Yamato Nadeshiko Shinichi-something is a true candidate for the CANNOT UNSEE list.

I suggested Potemayo as a temporary replacement for SZS whilst we wait for S2 to finish, as it is the only series to consistently make me laugh from beginning to end. That and the fact that I can watch Guchuko exploring and carving the world up with her axe/scythe for hours. 8)

On the subject of Gundam 00's replacement: there might not be any. Mostly because of the interruptions to the meeting (ie, the screen turning off) making things run for longer than they used to. It may take some convincing to get Ryan to pick something else, or else it'll be 7 things, rather than 8, for you lot.
