I wont be in on that evening TT_TT Ive gotta be at tkd to prepare for grading. I've a feeling my instructor may be 'jumping' me a grade to red belt... maybe. I don't even know what he's thinking because I've only been with his school for seven weeks.

The movie would be the only reason to rock up at this rate.

I have a suggestion: find some first episodes of shows (we haven't played before) that have a lot of fast-paced humour in them and place them between the slower stuff. Even if we never play any of these shows again, it helps to liven up proceedings a little.

I could bring along some on the portable for consideration, if you like. :)

Doujin Work is actually funny in a really wrong kind of way, so it's a start.

Is the movie gonna be Root Search?

Jason has a thing for Roots Search, as the title seems awfully biographical to him. 8)

Everyone seems to have forgotten Murder Princess. Any reason for this?

What I think and what you think I think are entirely different things. Some people happen to find C:\, you know, attractive. :D

Indeed. But since it has nothing to do with the playlist, this train of thought stops here. 8)

Playlist is not final and will be subjected to change.

That is true. I never said it was final either, although it does make for an amusing thread. The idea of another "1st's" night appeals to me, but only if it is better than what I did last time (which looking back at it was really crap).

Ok some random scheiße.

I know everyone like Yamato Nadeshiko shinchi henge, so if it does get voted out which seems highly likely. I will show you what you been really missing.

The second op is on par with Death Note

Probably something that should remind us of our determination not to have OAV/Movie Nights until we have a critical mass of stuff worth playing. 8)

Shin Angyou Onshi was the last thing I heard Ryan mention.

Hey I could dredge up something besides Root Search what about Close the Last Door OVA? I'm sure this would bring in crowds.

The playlist will be:
    Rozen Maiden Ouvertuere 1
    Utawarerumono DVD Special 3
    Doujin Work 1
    Murder Princess 2
    Afro Samurai 2
    Shin Angyou Onshi

Somehow I think Close the last door may not receive a positive reaction.

A great many fewer people (1-2) walked out on Shin Angyou Onshi than I thought would have. Having had this film for the last two and a half years in my collection before giving it to Ryan, did I make a miscalculation of how it would go down? Or did people just sit through it because they hadn't seen it (or even heard of it), before? :?

I like the characters, animation and use of violence in the film, but the plot really is kinda hobbled together from two episodes somewhere in the middle of a longer oav series that doesn't exist.

Quite possible the most perverted AJAS *I've* ever attended. Not that I mind, of course. 8)

yeah, i also get the impression that Shin Angyou Onshi was just a couple of episodes cobbled together. that and the fact that they wasted half of their budget on the summoning sequence. it was also annoying because it gave the impression there'd be more episodes of some sort.
i didn't walk out because i didn't have anything better to do and it wasn't too terrible, just not amazingly good

I get the impression they'd intended for there to be more, but the returns weren't in their favour.

And it is based on a Korean manga. Which is why a lot of the names are, well, Korean. 8)
