Here is a new one just added.

Now the 'view profile' page for each (non activated) member shows the users email.
Only Mods and Admins can see it.

  • Changed the Registration page text to include info about the changes to account registration.

  • Changed the account activation email that goes out to the admins, to include a link to the users account details page and their location. :D

I was wondering why the forum started spamming me. I like these changes, the previous type of email didn't help much at all when dealing with spammers. Is there anyway to rig the email up to delete accounts via a link?

your IP will be logged and stored in the "Location" feild in your account details

I don't mean to be fussy but field is spelt incorrectly.
You will be able to fill it the res of your details once your account has been activated.

As is rest.

Not easily atleast. But I will look at the possibility.

BTW Thanks for the spellcheck. All fixed now.

I've also been thinking about an addtional question & answer based captcha, Where the questions would be in english and the answer would be a simple single romanji word e.g. neko =^.^=
What do you guys think?

New shiny CAPTCHA system to replace phpBBs default (that has been officially cracked 97% accurate).

Demo HERE

Hope you guys like it.

I've done quite a bit of reading on how captchas' get broken. And I tried to still keep it as human readable as possible.

Most captcha bots are for the most part colour blind, So I used comlimetory colours of the same saturation and brightness. So if you convert it to grayscale you'll only see the small text and not the code word.

If they still get past I can still tweak it further. :8
