UniSA Unilife Travelling Roadshow - Magill

by Mappy » Wed Mar 05, 2008 1:25 am

These pictures were taken at the Magill stopover of Unilife's travelling roadshow on Tuesday, between 11am and 2pm. Monday was City East. Wednesday is Mawson Lakes and Thursday is City West. Stop by and check out the AJAS and UniSAGA stands if you happen to be nearby.

Anyways, the AJAS stand. Ryan is hogging into the ubiquitous fairy floss....

The UniSAGA stand. They look more organised than we do. 8)

Because they had more stuff they could do. Like playing the Wii....

And playing more Wii....

Fresh FM were there, providing headaches.

The source of the aforementioned fairy floss. It was free.

Ryan displaying his tennis skills to prospective newbies.

There were other clubs and groups there, but their power levels were distinctly shy of 9000....

Some people were overtly enthusiastic about the event.

Much excitement to be had. 8)

That was baseball, not tennis.

no, I was telling noobs what to do and it was kind of frustrating. Although I did have fun playing wii boxing, I kept wanting to kick.
Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.

I think we can all agree White has one heck of a windup and could deliver a very crushing roundhouse with that fatalistic keychain in tow.

There's good reason for that. Imagine the repair bill if The Mask came through with that horn of his followed by Lindsay and the Pearl Jam bomber. :)

Travelling Roadshow - Magill - Now With Added 2009!

by Mappy » Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:30 pm

Excitement plus. A day of not getting many student names, but handing out many fliers.

It was an amusing time though. We did have the fortunate position of being the first table after Unilife, versus the latter ones who had people do an about face on them.

After thinking that photo of Scott would be the most striking, Mappy steals the show and then some. :respect:

I swear, where we were positioned was guaranteed to get us covered by the maximum amount of rain possible. Or, at the very least, those who set up the marquee didn't think that having one side completely open to the weather would cause an issue if it started precipitating. I spent much of the last half an hour having to stand because the rain soaked my chair whilst I was trying to save the banners. So much rain got on the club banners that it wouldn't surprise me if the things are starting to rust and mould at Mawson Lakes, tomorrow....

As Ryan said on Tuesday, Autumn didn't waste any time bustling Summer out of the way as soon as March arrived.

Yes, my warmer top got drenched by that downpour in thae latter part, I got stuck in my T-shirt for the rest of the day. Lucky that the weather finally got better after that, though. Hey, at least we didn't have one of those banners whack us in the head like Scott had happen to him on Monday. :( :x Naughty banner! Yeah, seriously Mappy, whoever is responsible for having one side of the tent exposed is a complete scrub. But it was still good fun. Scott calling Albey's new look 'The German Pornstar' - gold.
