by asurin » Fri Dec 07, 2007 10:12 pm

I think I need something to help me make lists of my files, since manually is really slow.

1. Find Folder full of files.
2. RMB → View → List
3. ???
4. PROFIT!

Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.

Pirate Man and Tommy, are you two looking to have your accounts suspended?

Asurin, use command prompt and navigate to the directory, use the /dir command, select all the text, copy/paste and edit from there.
There is probably a proper way of doing it but I'm not that excited at the idea of seeing how command prompt works.

if i wasn't doing full-time work which is mostly coding, i'd whip up a prog like that in a couple of hours
and if you were using linux, i'd write you a shell script for it, which'd probably be far quicker to do

dir > textfilenamehere.txt

add /s for sub-folders
add /b for no extra info

use tree instead of dir for tree structure.
