by michu_kitty » Sat Aug 18, 2007 2:24 pm

I watched this horror Japanese movie the other weekend, its called "Masters of Horror" Imprint. Its so strange and shocking yet very interesting. Its a about a man, who goes to a Japanese island full of prostitutes in search for his longtime lover, who then meets a scarred face prostitute...

There have been a couple of Japanese directors involved with the Masters of Horror series. One of them was banned from screening, but not from the dvd release.

In general, most of the MoH films have been merely average. Or maybe I've seen so many horror films that average horror does nothing for me, anymore.

The only horror movies to inspire nightmares for me were the original Juon cinema releases. Both films were utterly incoherent as well, but that's beside the point.

I so agree! I found it very scary too, I've never watched the Japanese version, only the American version in the cinemas. I had nightmares about her chasing me around the house, cos' you know how sneaky she is in the movie... lol
