AVCon Quiz Night table

by IceLee » Thu Jul 12, 2007 10:03 pm

Ok finalized details of tables... well for now...
also, you have to confirm your place and pizza order (and pay for your pizza) at the information desk on Saturday, as early as possible.

UniSAGA-AJAS1- I am NOT going to change the name of this table, rasberry!

1. DruDeath/IceLee (Candice)
2. Edible_Hat (Dave)
3. Ninjacat/Dishlexicman (John)
4. Harmz (Ben)*
5. Pirate Man (Jason)*
6. Cchan (Phuong)*
7. Dhumahn (Greg) *
8. Rasberry (Steven)*
9. Techa*
10. Techa's friend*

UniSAGA-AJAS2

1. Ryan White
2. Mappy (Mark)
3. Jim Woolford/Ikari
4. Atory (Scott)
5. Saz (Sarah)
6. Takeo (Tyeson)*
7. Jimbo (James)
8. Gonzo_the_Eggman (Jules)
9. Morphis (Tim)*
10. Tim's girlfriend*

those with names ending in a *, please give me your pizza orders before saturday ( on the avcon weekend), or you will miss out. I'd like them in by tuesday so no one would miss out on what they want but that's up to you guys.

Jim bad news. they refused to add garlic bread to your orders.
also, very vital information- anyone with cheese or some other allergies to certain items used in pizza especially atory cant order for removal of specific items either because they wouldnt make a special order.

ok then youll be added as a back up (understudy) so if you can make it, your name will be then put up, if you cant, no worries.

We may need to split up into two different groups because were nearly 10, if rasberry can make it, we'd be 10, and the prize is for 8 people. so yeah most likely split into two groups but with two different names...

as i recall, it had something to do with biting the heads off of small animals for other people's entertainment

as i recall, someone i know is organising a table, so i'll probably be with them.

they want people to post on the AVCon forum to give them an idea of numbers, but you have to confirm at the info desk on the Saturday. Bookings close when they run out of room.

You do know they're going to rig it versus your table and so that the visiting interstate side or the Auvga/Shintokyo people win.

Thats why I said we may have to split up into two or three team, as in table teams, because theres more of you guys and only 10 places maximum per table so yeah my table team will be UniSAGA-AJAS. (mainly because theres a mixture of us who goes to ajas aswell as unisaga etc etc) so yeah, dont take that name but something else a bit similar?

I recall our table leading at one stage. And then suddenly we were equal third.... Something to do with the system they were using to score the teams, putting the leading teams at the top of the list rather than having them all in a static order. Dubious.... Dubious.... 8)

Team WaiCon won, I remember. *Ahem* The less said the better....

And I was the only person who knew the Tron Guy's real name... he was on my Livejournal friends list for a while.

Should also probably mention that you have to confirm your place and pizza order (and pay for your pizza) at the information desk on Saturday, as early as possible.

That is, if I've read the AVCon forum thread correctly and it works like last year.

Quiz night and the cosplay just aren't incentives enough to go. Especially with what I bought from Pete last week. That and I'll have work both days and on ajas night this week. While I still have uni holidays I'm doing double time and Sunday offers very attractive penalty rates.

That and I'm kinda not going to an AvCon run by Mitchell. Drw and Connell, they knew how to run it right. Mitchell couldn't run didley squat.

On the subject of Pocky has anyone seen "mens pocky" anywhere lately.

Kim Wangs had some a couple of months ago but none since. It is the best Pocky, with the possible exception of the one with Coconut flakes in the chocolate.

The Asian grocery store in Central Market has men's pocky. That's the one actually in the market bit, across from the organic lentil shop.
