Triple J's Hottest 100 of All Time results

I'd been hoping they'd do one since the one they did in 1998. Because that was a good list. However, I think this one may be better.

You may have a few quibbles with it, I guess I have a few. But damn, that is a blutig good list. Stoked to see Nickelback's value has increased over time and the The Verve got in as high as #14. Lot more Aussie representation this time too. I guess #1 was obvious, but it's still as worthy as ever.

Take me out has to have the most interesting video I've seen in all my time watching Rage at obscure times of the day. :)

I don't know about that one, Aphex Twin have some pretty bizarre videos. Same goes for Bjork and The Avalanches.

As for the Hottest 100 list, I'm fairly happy with it overall. Pretty impressive that there were FOUR Jeff Buckley songs in there, especially since he only ever got to make one studio album.
Did you hear all the hype about "there aren't any female singers or bands in there...hündin hündin hündin, moan moan moan"? If people are so concerned about the lack of female musicians in there, maybe they should have voted for some then. I don't really care, except I would've liked to see some Grace Jones or Bjork in there. I can't really complain though, I had too much trouble narrowing down my list so I didn't end up voting. Picking just ten songs was way too hard.

Grace Jones: yes. Bjork: no.

Lack of Interpol makes this list fail.

My only gripe is the lack of Wolfmother.

boo hoo the thousands of people who actually bothered to vote for the hottest 100 of all time have different musical tastes than me.
Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.

Boohoo. Their musical tastes are bad and they should feel bad. Or be made to feel bad in horribly amusing ways. End of discussion.

The whole list is made of win IMO. Each to their own.

Though seriously, I am sad about the complete absence of Rush.
Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.
It’s commonly known when you look north in Japan East is to your left. Please don’t try to correct that sentence. It lasts only for a second but I wouldn’t expect a mistake like that.

Most people I know pick on me for liking Grace Jones. Do you get that too?

I agree about the lack of Interpol. I reckon there should've been some Jebediah in there too

People who don't like Grace Jones have deep psychological issues and should be ignored, for they have nothing to say worth listening to.
