With the free to air channels constantly screwing over scifi fans it's about time pay-tv realised there was a market.

Yes, but I envisage wall to wall Star Trek on this channel.

Apart from classic Trek, I can see most sci fi shows from the 60s, 70s and 80s getting the short end of the deal. Which would be the predominant reason for my watching it.

Bab5 only became epic when I decided to play the card game, lol Vorlons FTW 100%

Contemporary Galactica is no sci-fi, it's a teenagers film studies project made in the backyard of a pizza faced geek with too much time on his hands.

Farscape is FTW 100%, I completely forgot about it

FTW Exile, for once you impress me with amazing insight into an issue I believed I was king. Here, have a cookie.

Hmm.... Captain Scarlet and The Thunderbirds are really the only "classic" shows on the list.... Surprised I am not.

So, now that the SciFi Channel has been going for just over a week, what is the opinion of those who actually have it?

Personally, the novelty wore out the moment X Files started.

Don't forget that Paul's been exiled to Malaysia and can't really get Australian pay TV.

Little things, like being in another country, have a tendency to cramp one's television viewing. 8)

So far the SciFi channel hasn't been able to pry me from the Comedy channel.

Interesting. The only thing I actually find regularly funny on the Comedy Channel is Whose Line.... Maybe I'm getting old, but everything else just seems meh or smartarse unfunny. 8)

Funny you should mention him in a post where I brought up the concept of getting old....

You reached 25 yet, Jason? They grey hairs are starting to sprout. 8)

Where do you think I get my smartarse ways from?

I like the amount of quality stand-up commedians that have been on lately, especially on Stand-Up Australia and of course there's Who's Line is it Anyway. I also don't tire of Family Guy repeats.

Considering that you're asking if he's 25 yet and going by the youngest working age he would have spent less than half his life at Coles unless of course you mean he also hung out at Coles in his spare time as a kid.

So are you gonna enthrall us with your earthly wisdom (which I can say you have none whatsoever) of what job you have? Wait dont have one didnt you do a Sup for Computer Science I or did you fail it and having your periods right now?

Sigh, working for a few years in Coles doesnt count as a lifetime. If your poking fun at me, you might as well do the same to Ryan.W as well.

Working for a few years in a supermarket doesn't count as a lifetime, but it sure does feel like one.

Supermarkets are alternate dimensions in which the concept of time ceases to exist. Except a couple of minutes before closing time when there is something important you really need to buy....

With my store, if you get in before we lock the door we'll still end up serving you even if it's ten minutes after close. If your arrival is after closing though, we aren't going to let you in. You'll receive "Sorry Sir, we closed at [time]".

Wow. My local lets people in up to ~10 minutes afterwards. Which of course meant we (thats the trolley bitches) also had to wait around for 10 minutes extra for these people to leave their trolleys behind; as we had to get every single one locked up at night to prevent vandalism.

Hey Ryan wanna trade jobs? You can be the NEET and I'll take your palce at the WW. :D
