Counting by individual DVDs is a silly and misleading measure. Counting by shows, films and miniseries owned makes far more sense.

roughly looking at 371 DVDs all up... but whats in a number as long as i have great/ok/terrible/what was i thinking in my collection i am happy

Well, closer to 300 then.....still a long way to go though.

For the record, I won't be posting my list up, since I'm not in need of any attention. That and I need it for the next music box...

I only say if something's coming once an item has shipped, if I say it beforehand, sometimes it gets cancelled on me, then I look like a douchebag.

Why yes, there are indeed some things that should be there but are not because I never got around to purchasing them. Currently clocks in at at a modest 253 discs. Counting by discs is still silly though.

What's more important are the copies of Dragonball: Evolution and Wild Zero anyway.

Most of them were 40+ plus you could easily shaved a lot by buying on line.

You have to buy smart not buy stupid. Hell I even almost killed myself when I bought Summer Wars cause in the UK it was 15.85 pounds for summer wars double pack that's 20-25 AUD with shipping from Zavvi. Where as in Australia its 45 bucks Blu-ray, Mad Man are verdammt rip-offs. Had to cave in and buy something ;_;.

Here's the site www.zavvi.com. Hell got the Claymore and Guyver complete series for 4.95 pounds and 7.95 pounds respectively claymore under 10 !!! Guyver under 15 !!!! Yet they charge 40-50 bucks for 3 episodes.

I know that site, I got the double pack you are talking about from them. I also just wanted to support the Australian anime industry. I would buy more anime from overseas if I had region free players but thats a hustle in and of itself, might as well just pay that extra $10. Thats a hungry Jacks meal anyway right?

I recently bought Eden of the East blu ray collection which I loved re watching and I got The King of Eden BD movie today.

I got ROD the OVA based on your recommendations and my careful scrutiny. I still think Ill enjoy the series as well.

The ROD tv series runs both hot and cold. Many of the one-off episodes are entertaining, whilst those dealing with the general series plotline can be a chore. This includes the ending, which is typical of many anime in being pretty mediocre.

That being said, it is good that the original ROD manga (Read or Die, as opposed to Read Or Dream, which the ROD tv series is based upon) was never animated, as the manga is rubbish.

ROD the TV is a show that I'd dislike a lot less if the characters I enjoyed weren't the ones who get messed about with the most in those aformentioned weak moments.

What was the best about ROD the OVA?

The Paper and Miss Deep.

They don't appear until the late stages of the TV series.

That alone was a major mistake.

Wow I liked Yomiko (Za Paper) a lot, yes because I thought she was cute. I wzs told the tv series has more girls, cuteness and conedy is this true? Its sucks tht Yomiko is barely in the show at all and the asking price for the TV show is a bit much as well. I might have to borrow it or wait for a sale.

You have Nenene and the Paper Sisters in ROD the TV. They aren't really that great a replacement. Nenene was in the ROD manga as well, and was even more annoying in that.
