Osaka woman gets 5 years for cutting off part of baby son's genitals

OSAKA — A woman was sentenced to five years in prison Monday for mutilating her 4-month-old son by cutting off part of his genitals with a razor at their home in Izumi, Osaka Prefecture, in March 2004. Shizue Tamura, 27, had admitted to the assault during investigations, according to police, but she denied it in the court.

In handing down the ruling, Presiding Judge Masahiro Hosoi said, "It is an outrageous, grotesque crime targeting an innocent infant. The sorrow and pain the child may suffer when he grows up and comes to know about what happened is beyond imagination." The woman was beaten by the boy's father, to whom she was not married, and took out her anger on her son, the judge said in explaining the light sentence.

So it's true! Your theory about me already being dead was right.

Well, I could fix it up even more, if you like. Little things like me/my seem to get to me if left unaltered.... 8)

Yes I now see how my is correct... I needed a good sleep before reading it. Damn country slang... no-one out here says my like that, they always say me. They even say me when taking possessively about something.

eg. They are me shoes.

Day is also pronounced dee out here.

I blame this on my viewing of too much television from the UK. When I was five, I had perfect BBC English. By my teens I sounded like I came from the Eastend. I even used the possessive "me". Somewhere along the line I've managed to iron all of this out. Probably about the time I first heard a Queenslander accent and decided that I wanted to sound most distinctly different....
