Konata suffers from this. At some point during the show I recall it being mentioned that her menstrual cycle hasn't started yet. Then there was the episode where she mentions how childbirth could easily kill her, as happened to her mother. So, I dug around wiki and came to this conclusion.

You are all right. I've just watched the LS dub, and they are all talking about being in "11th grade" and "turning 17". This would mean that Konata is either 16 or 17, and playing h-games!
