School Days being suspended I understand, Higurashi surprises me a bit since it isn't even gory imo. Paint =/= gore.

I loled... How far are you through it now? I've witnessed first-hand a Japanese girl cringing at the gore level (Me... sadistic... never).

A third of the way and the so-called gore scenes have me yawning. They're not gory. They look like a kid's fairly tale.

I'm sorry, but seeing a
little girl dead, flayed, being eaten by crows
counts as gore in my book. The only reason any of us aren't vomiting in disgust is because we know it isn't real. That doesn't make it any less gory.

Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.

Some of the later scenes (after the one mentioned above) did make my stomach churn,
namely the crucification torture
.

It's funny how gore makes you hungry.

He hasn't seen Meakashi and Tsumihoroboshi, yet. Specifically episodes 19, 20, 21 and 23.

The real trouble with the first season, though, is that they sacrificed lots of clues and inner monologues for scenes of people being mutilated and mürrisch facial expressions. 8)
