Higurashi: What is Going On? [tm]

by Mappy » Fri Sep 29, 2006 11:14 am

For those who are having trouble trying to work out what is going on behind the scenes in Higurashi, travelling to this forum might help to provide some spoilerish details: http://forums.animesuki.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55

The original game was complicated enough without all the clues they left out of the tv series to fit it into 26 episodes.

The fact that they don't give you the last two chapters of the Game doesn't help either. <_<;

Yes, indeed. After taking us this far, you'd at least think they'd make a second series to finish it off. But as far as I know, they aren't.... :x

Message I garnered:

Never trust a girl until they're no longer jailbait. And when they're not, always carry a condom to avoid a lawsuit.

It isn't the lawsuit you should be worried about. It's the billhook machete.

Well, I will say this much: when a new arc starts, the story isn't being restarted from another point of view, the resets really are happening.

I want a second series, or better yet, a copy of the game translated into english. Stormy, if you read this, I'm kinda hoping for you to do a translation.

Stormy pretty much threw his hands in the air over this one. Fate/Stay Night is one thing, Higurashi's mindforking is another. 8)

It is more like white flag, Mappy. Fate/Stay Night translation and editing already having a "good" time with my poor brain. :?

Animesuki thread on it pretty much summarizes the question marks.

This article should summarize some aspects of the story.

It should also be said that the Wikipedia article has some inaccuracies....

Inaccuracies? Which part? A reliable source told me the article sums it pretty well.

Having gone through it, it has been significantly updated from the article I read a month and a half ago. Especially the actual descriptions and spoilers for each of the individual arcs. Most were just plain wrong, before....

(Suffice to say the person behind all the killings was exactly whom I thought it would be).
