Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien actually gets a DVD release

by Last Exile » Sun Dec 03, 2006 11:38 pm

Saw a banner for it on another site but there's nothing up yet. However, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien will be released on DVD in the first quarter of 2007 in the US under the title 'Rumbling Hearts'.

Weird. How does 'The Eternity That You Wish For' become 'Rumbling Hearts'?

Well, personally, I quite liked this series and I'm glad, despite it taking too many years for this to happen, that it's finally getting a DVD release. Think Mappy also liked this one too. Then again, Mappy also liked that Yami, The Hat and the Traveller series, which was also based off a H-game.

By hitting the Lack Of Imagination wall whilst travelling through the minds of those who make such decisions. Said wall exists in almost everyone involved in the industry.

Im speculating that the title was too long to fit on the box front .

And if it did , the font would be too damn small .

That's no excuse for coming up with a short title cringeworthy enough to affect sales.

Yeah, when I saw that title I cringed a little. It really doesn't reflect what the series is about with that kind of tonality. I mean, rumbling?! what the hell is that supposed to mean/insinuate?

Maybe it was decided based on Miyuki's estrogen overdrive and the guy's descent-into-insanity-only-to-stop-short-by-one-episode .

You know, this show was made two years too early. With the whole psychomoe thing going around atm, this show could have ended with much blood and bodies lying about, a-la School Days. 8)

Dammit, School Days really needs to be made into an anime.

There was a one-off oav made, but it was more like an intro piece to the game and didn't really contain anything that you'd be looking for. 8)

I'd settle for copies of the ending movies.

Seriously, if they had been available, I'd have had them three years ago. 8)

That's precisely what I want but in a higher resolution and with sound. I feel like changing my avatar at the moment.

Rumbling Hearts is theme song for KGNE hentai visual novel and also featured in the anime as in song as tribute to the game.

It is more catchy than long title.

Ooooooh no it isn't. </panto> 8)

As a native speaker of Mangled English, I can say, with some justification, that Rumbling Hearts sounds just a tad embarassingly zurückgeblieben, like a cheap, dodgy romance about people with cardiovascular problems. Whereas The Eternity You Wish For isn't that much longer and sounds a hell of a lot better. Even if you think of KGNE as a cheap dodgy romance (it isn't, but it still has a lot of flaws), that title doesn't sound like one.

I wish, it'd be better than working at Woolworths. Unfortunately I don't play computer games anywhere near enough to get a job in the industry, playing games cuts into my anime time.
