I am intrigued if FS/N is doing gender reversal role, how the story will turn out? Will FS/N still popular if male Saber was used instead female Arthuria?

you know, i've had a theory about this show for a while, going like this:
the orginal plan was for a yaoi (or however it's spelt) and when they decided to remake it to a normal anime, they decided it would be easier to rewrite the back-story for a single character than to rewrite the entire thing.
so all they ended up doing was changinng saber's gender and removing the sex (the original plan was for twice as many episodes) :P
methinks this is going to get me killed at the next ajas...

Fate/Stay Night first began as visual novel by TYPEMOON, not anime. The creator was Kinoko Nasu, argubably one of most famous scenario writer in Japan right now.

If Saber's original master was female, then I don't see where the yaoi bit can be said to be valid....

Personally, I prefer the female Saber, as she is better looking and the thought of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table all being female is just funny as hell and something only the Japanese could mangle quite so seriously. 8)

pesonally i too much prefer sabre... and if i had those command spells i would have been putting them to much better use! *sigh (drifts off into fantasy land)

i came up with that theory assuming saber's master was male, as it was an attempt to explain why king arthur was female, not knowing the back-story on the anime. i may have been drunk at the time.
but i'd have to say, the saber they used was good...

Well, if Saber was male, I probably wouldn't put so much effort into finding picures of the character. And there probably wouldn't be as many pictures of the character to be found. And most of those would probably have Saber in various unmentionable states with Archer, or something.... 8)

...instead of with Rin. It makes logical sense.

I'll have to get around to watching this series. I've only seen a couple of episodes and they literally put me to sleep.

If F/SN puts you to sleep, blame Studio Deen. They seem pretty good at messing up game->anime productions.

I know I blame them, but then they're the third of the three Great Satans of anime. 8)

I've only seen the first couple of episodes... Takeo says it does have a slow starting but it gets better as it goes. Here's hoping he's correct... If he's not, it just means I can get some long awaited rest.

I should say I want saber as a female, but since I'm a half-assed watcher of anime. I pefer it to be male, kinda hits you in a weak spot when every main character is a female :).

I consider Pierrot and Madhouse to be fare more guilty than Deen and Gonzo. But each to their own.
