Madhouse avoids the chopping block

by Last Exile » Mon Aug 30, 2010 8:51 am

For those worried that Madhouse's series producing side would be cut - looks like this will not be the case. Tatami Galaxy came in at #5 on the weekly Blu-Ray sales for its 1st week of sales. I'm guessing that would have hit around the 10k mark. Throw in the imminent sales of Highschool of the Dead and I think it's safe to say - thankfully - that Madhouse are still alive and kicking.

And the fact I didn't mention Rainbow didn't give you a hint? No duh that Rainbow is a good series. The point relevant to the topic being that it didn't sell!

the Oricon market survey firm reports

yeah theres the your point oricon...
all i know is rainbow is possbily my no.1 pick of the year and it stands as that example its so good that its not suppose to be otaku.
its written well sure the narrations a hündin the characters are solid the setting is incredibly portayed, the manga's gotten 2006 "rising sun" award which i believe makes it rather more the best serious anime from MADHOUSE so what it dos'nt sell? if they license it...(which i think they have???) i would buy it...
