Mainstream Anime: This is Why We Don't Play Them at AJAS

October 13-19 Ratings
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... ober-13-19

Sazae-san, Chibi Maruko-chan, Crayon Shin-chan, Doraemon....

These shows shaft even One Piece and Naruto in the ratings. Their longevity is also mind boggling.... Sazae-san has been running non-stop since October 5th 1969. It's almost as old as I am.

LOL Japanese tastes.... 8) Though understandable. These are the background-noise shows that people watch during dinner.

I've seen episodes of all of them at some stage, and whilst I don't mind them, could you imagine what our playlist looked like if we followed Japanese viewing habits to the hilt?

At least Nodame Cantabile did relatively well the previous week. :)

They're just Japans versions of Bold & Beautiful or Neighbors.

Playlist starts at 2AM and is Adults only? I'd go. :)

Resident tank enthusiast. See me for racist and opinionated storytelling and vaguely accurate historical tank warfare-themed rants.
