Well assuming you have seen the movie as well, I think that would be a bit hard since Winry is on the other side of the gate, even though i have not read the manga could be possible as well if he goes back to the other side. But I would look forward for a second series to come out.

FMA manga and FMA anime are quite different. This 2nd series will very closely follow the manga. Plus it has a completely different director whose view on the FMA manga/anime is different to what original director Seiji Kawamura wanted. Studio Bones will be picking it up again, but expect some major differences.
