Playlist - 19th February 2008

by Dhumahn » Wed Feb 13, 2008 8:42 am

Claymore 24
Nodame Cantabile 14
Soukou no Strain 10
Seirei no Moribito 10
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 3
Darker Than Black 3
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai 2
Hayate no Gotoku 19???

...enjoy.

HnG has a question mark due to there being debate on whether or not it should stay. I was going to put a poll up this morning about it, but somehow I lost my poll permissions during the upgrade, so everyone will have to post their thoughts here instead :?

I'm glad the fight with liontard was over in that last episode of Claymore. Because I could see the cogs turning in the stretch-this-out-as-far-as-it-will-go machine.

Fortunately, Claymore makes for good payouts whilst its playing. 8)
Unfortunately, we still face Raki's speech in the final episode, which made me die a little inside when I last skimmed through it.

i just find it ridiculous that over the course of 2 episodes, claire went from being one of the weakest claymores to being super-awesomely powerful. that is just silly. then again, what do i expect from anime? i should probably shut up before i kill a cat girl through my disbelief

I think it had something to do with Teresa's head and Irene's arm?

Clare soon won't have any original bits left. Talk about modding your Claymores. 8)

Does anybody know if "Hayate no Gotoku" goes anywhere from here on? Or at least remains funny? I like the series, it has a cute sense of humour but I don't wanna keep perservering with it if it's deflated of it's energy, especially since it's in the last slot for the night.

I think you're reaching the same conclusion about the show that others have.
It doesn't move very far in the next 22 episodes.

It'll be a shame to see the series go in a way but we really don't need to keep something which has outstayed it's welcome. At least I got to see Hayate crossdress :P .

Hmm.

Do we have anything to replace Hayate?

If we don't we may as well keep it on, however non-existent it's advancement is.

I could tolerate the fact that the series is about nothing in particular, or that it is 52 episodes long, if it was a great deal funnier. It was amusing at the start, but has flatlined quite a bit. In fact, I think being 52 episodes long was a big mistake, because that has just encouraged the producers to be lazy, throwing in any random merde for no particular reason, especially if the wafer thin plot underruns.

Then again, it is last on the playlist....

Mod: Edited for an English-speaking audience....
I have got one, jolly old chaps. How about this dashed series, goes by the name of Moetan? It has, quite roughly, the same plot as Hayate, but a few differences here and there, hmm, jolly good show, I say what.

Yes, but those are from people who aren't entirely choosing the playlist. The whispers are from those who are. Oh, and this gives away the apparent intentions, at the bottom of the guide post.... 8)

"Kamichu!" was gorgeous! Loved it. Worthy replacement to an originally charming series which lost it's steam.

Three people walked out, two walked in. Identities of the guilty parties shall not be disclosed. Yet. 8)

And by this, you can come to the conclusion that the "love it or hate it" nature of Soukou no Strain remains unremittingly intact. 8)

Also, it seems a certainty that SnS will be replaced by Gundam 00. Pretty much everyone seems to agree with this suggestion. Now if only Code Geass II started within the next couple of weeks, then we could replace Claymore with it.... 8)

Is it a certainty that "Soukou no Strain" is being canned? I'm fond of that one so I'd hate to see it go but that's the downside of democracy I suppose *shrugs*.
