Playlist - 6th November 2007

by Dhumahn » Wed Oct 31, 2007 8:49 am

No OVA this month...biscuit barrel's empty. Two new shows this week, however.

This week's playlist is as follows:

Claymore 15
Nodame Cantabile 5 (vote)
(TBA - possibly Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai 1)
Hayate no Gotoku 10
Death Note 29
Lucky Star 18
Pumpkin Scissors 21
(TBA - possibly Nagasarete Airantou 1)

...enjoy!!!

Also, apparently there is a teaser for Lucky Star on Volume 4 of Haruhi. Maybe we will see an english dub in the near future.

Sounds... interesting. Like Lost, but with added harem. 8)

Also, voting Nodame Cantaspellit on. Who's with me?

The replacement titles aren't fully decided upon yet and may be subject to change so don't get too excited. I'll post a full-ish list of potential playlist items up later.

Don't forget to mention what might replace Nodame Cantaspellit should it get the axe. :)

Voting off the putrid pile of Scheiße known only as "Ouran MkII" netted us the reasonable acceptability of Cantaspellit.

I wouldn't mind if Kemonzume was the replacement... I won't be able to attend for the week in question (exams) so my vote goes out early to keep Nodame on the playlist.

I changed it, because no shows had really been chosen.... Not definitively, anyway. In fact, not even yesterday, at the UniSAGA meeting, had Ryan made his mind up about what he wanted to put on....

My current suggestion would be (with ultimate replacements for the next things to go)

Claymore
Nodame Cantabile
Soukou no Strain
Hayate no Gotoku
Seirei no Moribito
Lucky Star ---> Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei
Death Note ---> Darker Than Black
Pumpkin Scissors ---> Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai

Any comments?

If it's you, that's alright (at least you don't whinge and snarl like Ryan does).

Soukou no Strain is one I wouldn't put on (even though Ryan has wanted it on for ages), however the rest seem good material.

...this will make some people upset.

Well, these are things I've watched and don't think are too bad. But there is no accounting for taste. 8)

Other suggestions include:

Innocent Venus
Nagasarete Airantou
Ghost Hunt
Bokurano
Heroic Age
Simoun
iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia
Le Chevalier D'eon
Kamichu
El Cazador de la Bruja
Potemayo
School Days
Genshiken II
Seto no Hanayome
Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto
Asatte no Houko
Hidamari Sketch
Umisho
Zero no Tsukaima
Mushishi
Sky Girls

And other things.... My brain can't think of them right now.... Add to this list if you want to.

My top choice will be Seirei no Moribito, it is a very beautiful and grand anime. It is will be absurd to pass it up .

well, of that bunch, the only ones i've watched are innocent venus and school days.
i didn't really like innocent venus, so i probably wouldn't vote for it.
school days was pretty good, despite (or maybe because of) the way it made me feel. for some reason, though, i'm not sure whether we should show it. then again, i'm willing to watch it again (it's still not as bad as watching the bme pain olympics)

All of these I wouldn't mind seeing on the list.

My one addition would be Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. :)

This is why you should be using "TBA" instead of arbitrarily deciding what to put on the playlist. Nothing was finalised on the 30th despite what you may believe so don't blame me if you jump the gun and end up having your posts edited (Also, keep in mind there are seven accounts on the forum that are capable of warping others posts).

Now, stop complaining and read the list of what I consider to be playlist replacements. There are some items missing from Mappy's list and if people want to watch those ones then they will be added to the playlist:
    Innocent Venus
    Nagasarete Airantou
    Ghost Hunt
    Bokurano
    Simoun
    iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia
    Kamichu
    Potemayo
    School Days
    Genshiken II
    Seto no Hanayome
    Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto
    Asatte no Houko
    Hidamari Sketch
    Umisho
    Zero no Tsukaima
    Mushishi
    Sky Girls
    Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight
    Hataraki Man
    Lovely Complex
    Moonlight Mile
    Nagasarete Airantou
    Seirei no Moribito
    Soukou no Strain
    Bamboo Blade
    Baccano
    Dennou Coil
    Minami-ke
    Ghost Hound
    Prism Ark
    Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei

Some of these series we don't have much of so they won't be replacements just yet whereas others are collected in their entirety.

Should say the same for Kodomo no Jikan (just recieved some related stuff to this from MM...OMG!!! >_< THAT IS PURE EVIL!!!! )

...Also the only reason I'm making such a fuss about the playlist is because I feel that Ryan has become somewhat lazy in his decision-making... and I'm simply trying to make him concentrate on his responsibilities as club president a little better than what he is at present.

Enough discussion on this, I'm getting tired....Zzzzzzzzz....

did you actually think i was upset? i always talk like that. it's my own form of self-deprecating humour. though i guess, it's understandable that it may confuse some people.
if i was easy to upset, the world would be a far different place...
anyway, didn't i say it was one of the few days i don't plan on showing up? that maens that i'm likely to still keep on showing up (this is the first session i'm going to miss in ages, because of an exam)

So instead of Hauu~ and a nice boat, we got Galaxy Angel and another shotaru complex-based show.
