Playlist - 16th January 2007

by Dhumahn » Fri Jan 12, 2007 9:49 pm

I assume that all of the regulars have already seen the other post, so I won't elaborate too much here (C4-16 is where it's at). With a bit of luck I will have the results of the poll up sometime next week (Ryan, get off your grass and vote already).

As for the playlist itself, according to what has been going around, it should be a 'Live-Action theme night'. As yet I don't know the order, so I will leave that for Ryan to decide on the night.

(Must make a note to finish "Twilight Princess" before tuesday)

I'm Assuming that we are going with "OPTION C" so can somebody make sure that a copy of GTO live action ep 1 is brought along tonight as I don't possess a copy.

We'll rename ourselves the Bogan Anime Society, aka BAS, or "Bazza" to its members. 8)

Someone (I believe Ryan) asked what that black station wagon is You're Under Arrest was. It's a Nissan Stagea. A Stagea is the R34 you have when you don't have an R34. :shades:

What was the response to the shows?

I heard that people were finding "You're under arrest" boring untill Thorpy showed.

YUA LA is listless and acting is bit forced. The characters are not convincing at all. Ian Thorpe cameo did not help.

Gokusen main female is very cute but I can't imagine her as Yakuza heiress since her looks is not edgy enough. I was thinking of Chiaki Kurayama but she is too young I guess. (Kill Bill's GoGo Yubari) The acting is so so and humor is bit contrived.

Jigoku Shoujo, the acting is as usual, bad and stiff. Story too perdictable and the anime counterpart is much superior.

The highlight of the night I would say is Freedom OVA.

I have to ask: was the actress who played Yankumi in Gokusen the same as the one who played Yoriko in YUA? Because damn they looked similar.
