This is the first I've been informed of no OVA night, especially as we have of copy of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society to show.
I'm wanting to know who made this decision and more importantly why they didn't choose to run it past me.

I'd very much prefer watching this to Ouran High School Host Club. 8)

I don't even see the point in starting Ouran this year if we are only going to see one episode. Wouldn't everyone who is interested then watch it in the break?

My bet is on Greg fleeing before Ryan can land a single strike.

I always thought this was the plan all along, since there is likely to be only 1 meeting after the oav night. If you're going to have a special screening night, have it be the last meeting of the year and of something more original like Brian's live-action show idea.

Ouran High School Host Club has no convincing minderjährigen mädchen (the sole reason Bazza wouldn't want to watch it), and people have convinced themselves that there is depth and quality to Ghost in the Shell.

Look in the mirror, you gave me the all clear before last month's OVA night.

If you want to run it past yourself, I would put a question mark as to just how many of you are there. :P

Nah! He'll probably land one punch, and then get bored of it because I'm not a "cat-girl".

GITS movie sounds swell to me. Plus after tonight's meeting it seems the OVA night will be going ahead and the live action thing for the end of the year. Starting a new series right at the end of the year generally hasn't worked. The only example I ever remembering working was Genshiken where we showed 1 episode in 2004 and it picked up 2nd in the vote for series of the year before winning it in 2005. However, I seem to remember only a few episodes of Samurai Champloo being played before summer break and it came 3rd in 2004 and 2nd in 2005. But I don't remember how many. Mappy might know?

Then again, they were both such good series they could afford that.

Desperate times called for desperate measures. I think Champloo arrived pretty much smack bang in the middle of 2004. Genshiken might have started playing near the end, because, well, what the hell else was there to put on?

From memory we were winging it a lot until Paranoia Agent appeared and finally gave us some stability. Then things gradually picked up.

Floundering was more the word I was looking for. Anyone complaining about what we're playing now should look at a schedule from the start of 2003 to the end of 2005. There were, what, about six or seven shows that were actually good played in those three years? Everything else was just blah, or worse.

2003 - I'd count 5 myself. At least for this year there were some other ones that were watchable once.
2004 - 5 decent series. I think it was more of a case the alternatives to the decent few weren't even worth trying.
2005 - Er, was there one? I honestly can't remember. Oh yeah, there wasn't. Anything is an improvement on that year.

So, does anyone actually know what we're playing tomorrow night, after all this?

Not "Ouran" couldnt we have a proper anime, like Najica Blitz Tactics or AIKA? At least something with fanservice to continue the N.H.K theme :).

Muteki Kanban Musume aka

"Invincible Delivery Girl" it think ... or was it
"Invincible Retail Girl"

That's the screencap after the introduction music ...
(which bears no clue to the show)
I must feel proud about the things I choose ...,

Be it Ero-games , doujinshi , or clothes ; its all the SAME !

"Invincible Poster Girl", or something like that.... A girl who is supposed to stand outside shops (in this case a ramen shop) and drum up business. Only she spends more of her time fighting rivals than getting customers. Most of the customers turn up to watch her fight, so its all much of muchness....
