Playlist - 22nd May 2012

by Dhumahn » Tue May 15, 2012 11:16 pm

Playlist will be the following:

Kaiji 2nd season 19
- Itou Kaiji - an ordinary man living an ordinary life. All that changed when he was thrown into debt because of co-signing a contract for a friend. He rode the ship of hope, Espoir, to lift that debt. Kaiji was invited into the night of demons. Traps, betrayal, deceit. Gambles of insanity unfolded one after another. And after countless hardships, he finally reached the king of the underworld. The leader of the Teiai group, Hyoudou Kazutaka. However Kaiji naturally lost, while Hyoudou won. Kaiji was taught a blutig lesson in what makes a true king. That brought the demonic night to a close, paid with Kaiji's blood.
Months have passed since then, Kaiji is still living his usual lifestyle of a bum. At the time of loss to Hyoudou his debt was 6.68 million yen, plus an additional 2 million. And with its interest his debt has already reached 9.5 million. Will he be able to repay his debt?

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou 11
- Tadakuni, Hidenori, and Yoshitake are friends and schoolmates in an all-boys high school. This is the story of their everyday hijinks.

Jormungand 1
- Koko Hekmatyar, a young arms dealer sells weapons under HCLI, a shipping corporation. As one of the company's unofficial weapon sellers, she secretly sells weapons in many countries while avoiding the local authorities and law enforcements as most of her work is actually illegal under international law. Travelling with her is her team of bodyguards who are mostly composed of ex-military veterans. Her latest addition to the crew is Jonah, a seemingly emotionless child soldier who is skilled in combat yet ironically hates arms dealers. Jonah joins Koko as he wishes to find the arms dealer responsible for his family's death. What follows is Koko and her crews escapades around the world.

Mawaru Penguindrum 24 (final)
- The story centres around the lives of three siblings, Takakura Kanba, Takakura Shouma and their terminally ill sister Takakura Himari. Himari passes away after going out on a trip with her brothers. She was however, miraculously saved by a spirit thriving in a penguin-shaped hat. In return for her extended life, the twins must search for an item known as the Penguin Drum with the aid of three penguins which are visible only to the siblings.

Thermae Romae 1
- Thermae Romae is a comedy about Lucius — an architect of public bath houses (thermae) in ancient Rome — who time-travels to various modern-day baths in Japan.

Steins;Gate 24 (final)*
- The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have managed to customize their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.

Shinryaku!? Ika Musume 12 (final)
- Due to the pollution of the oceans, Squid Girl has come from the depths to subjugate humanity. However, at the initial invasion point, she accidentally damages the beach hut cafe, Lemon. Unable to pay for the repairs, she ends up working in Lemon in recompense. Thus it is that Squid Girl came to live with the Aizawa family, consisting of Chizuru, Eiko and Takeru.

Fate/Zero 9
- The Holy Grail War is a death-match between 7 magi (Masters) and their summoned heroic spirits (Servants). In this battle royale, the prize is the legendary Holy Grail, said to be an omnipotent wish-granting device which will produce any sort of miracle in order to bend reality to accommodate the wishes it grants. The winning Master and Servant shall be granted one wish each, after which the Holy Grail will not be activated until the next War.
The 4th Holy Grail War is about to take place, and the 3 preceding Wars had ended without a victor. In pursuit of their individual goals and ambitions, the competing magi congregate at a Japanese city called Fuyuki. All the magi will do anything, rationalize away any atrocity, in pursuit of the Holy Grail. All of them, but one.
Kotomine Kirei is a Master, but one without a reason to fight. Unable to release himself from the threads of Fate, he is reluctantly drawn into the War. To enter the War, he even had to stray from his path in the Holy Church and join the ranks of the Mage's Association, an organization with which the Church is not on good terms, but which it has to tolerate and sometimes even cooperate with.
However, as Fate would ironically have it, one of his rival Masters, Emiya Kiritsugu, is a man more merciless than anyone else, an assassin who killed many people and intervened in many conflicts, for reasons no one is able to understand. Kirei's fight against this interesting yet strange sort of enemy might prove to be his most troubling task so far. Kiritsugu is equally puzzled by Kirei, and both of them still have the other Masters and Servants to take care of.

Why the small text?

Dhumahn wrote:Jormungand

Using the gg subs of these? I heard that they've put the C word in their subs early in the third episode.

Typical gg.

Since Steins Gate is ending,

Are you putting up Queen's Blade Rebillion, Lupin III or Upotte!!?

They are quality shows I recommend since they haven't receive any ratings yet.

Live action movie has raked in over $25 million US and was #1 in Japanese box office for 2nd week in a row.

And it will be available to buy at AVCON since Siren picked it up.

Yes, the anime will be available by then....although I'm not so sure about paying $35 for 80 minutes of footage...

I highly doubt Tits Blade would ever get played at AJAS.

We have an Ecchi night for a reason? Or does Queens Blade outperv even those guidelines?

I'm sure we can find much better ecchi shows than having to resort to playing Tits blade.

Greg and I have been discussing the ecchi night for months.

Let's just say for one night and one night only, we're opening Pandora's Box. ;)

More on that in the near future. Announcements for the 'Fly Me To The Moon Night' on the first meeting of June coming soon.

Pandora's Box won't be the only thing that will be opened that night!

Still, it will be interesting to see just how many people will last the whole 3 hours...

As long as you play Ebichu (more specifically one of the three Ebichuman episodes) then I'll be happy.

As for whether I can last 3 hours or not, that's another matter entirely...
