This week's playlist is as follows:

Kaiji 2nd season 9
Mawaru Penguindrum 14
Fireball Charming 12
Shinryaku!? Ika Musume 3
Usagi Drop 10
Steins;Gate 14
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou 1
Liar Game 2 (live action)

The 1st of the theme nights for 2012, Barrel Of Laughs, is on the following week. Any suggestions as to funny series please request in this thread :)

Funny is so subjective...

I for one found Elfin Lied hilarious.

Oh and that one episode of Zero no Tsukaima where Saito goes verdammt scheiße right up with a fighter plane and then crashes the verdammt thing into a field. :D

Although I don’t know about the directions at 4:51.
It’s commonly known when you look north in Japan East is to your left. Please don’t try to correct that sentence. It lasts only for a second but I wouldn’t expect a mistake like that.

Is Comedy the only stuff that can be put on the playlist? Anime is medium you know not a genre. Just saying

The comedy playlist is march 6th dennis, not this one, i was requesting shows for that night since it is the first of the 8 'theme' nights for 2012, as it would save me looking for titles myself

Yeah I know that, I was refering to the addition of NichiBros to the playlist. I expected a show that was not comedy to be added just so the playlist can be more dynamic. I suggested Tiger and Bunny and got no responses.

Well, the alternative i had was bodacious space pirates, which i thought was not going to be as good. Usagi Drop is the next show finishing, and as far as i know it won't be a comedy (possibly Ano Hana?)

It was still a good show, definitely the best action show of the past year. I thought you guys would like to watch it since its all western and stuff, really high production values too. Its also not a moe comedy show.

My contention is EVERY SHOW on the playlist is now comedy or part-comedy....I did point that out to a certain someone. There's a reason a certain bunch of people are hardly watching anything on the list at present....

I'd say that the problem isn't that there's too much comedy at one point, it's that we might not have enough comedy or entertainment later on down the track, I'd rather have a regular playlist of action, comedy and lightheartedness than one of slow, sombre seriousness. Of course a balance would be preferable, but a fun playlist lends itself better to a group environment, doesn't it?
