There's gonna be more FULLY SIK M8 and more HEKTIK ULEH then an ex-police VL turbzzz rolling on interceptors with subs in the boot. :)

(TL note: Fully sik m8 and Hektik Uleh are the closest translations available for 'epic' and 'awesome' respectively in the kebab language.)

Lol, I agree, though I suggest moar candy boy in the stead of daughter of 20 faces (which appears to be a real crowd mover... in a bad way >_<)

Anyways *shot*

Daughter of 20 Faces passed the vote. So we're stuck with it, really. Also, halfway through the series. Can't really stop, now....

Daughter of Twenty Faces polled within the Top 20 in the AJAS poll. If we bothered to finish something like Baccano, which was nearly last and was one heck of a crowd-mover, you're running out of reasons to stop playing a series people voted reasonably high for.

Besides, a playlist that is almost purely comprised of service and Interpol humour isn't going to bring in new people. The March 3 playlist is better balanced and newbie friendly. Don't load it with stuff that only seasoned viewers will understand and appreciate or you're effectively letting the club die a slow death. If we went on that vein of series only, we wouldn't have had the privilege to watch series like Kurenai and Kamichu. Do remember they polled equal 3rd for good reasons.

And the fleas of a thousand camels to whoever removes Do20F it if they do. :P

Amazingly I agree with Last Exile here. I like Daughter of 20 Faces. And it's not just because Chiko's voiced by Aya Hirano.

And the skids of a thousand ulehs on his drive to whomsoever removes Do20F. :)

It was shown from start to finished and finished in the mid 20s in the 2008 poll. Only show that got dropped last year was Gundam 00.

Jon is active on the forums. This should be good.

True. Generally any series going beyond 26 episodes doesn't get finished. Only Fullmetal Alchemist and Great Teacher Onizuka went the full distance in recent times. Bleach went to about...62, was it?

most of the long series that got discontinued were because they later turned out to be not so good.
take for example blood+, where it was too boring to continue despite children getting minigunned

I saw the AJAS front page listing only Michiko no Hatchinin and Moyashimon as the new shows for this playlist. Did Chaos:Head get dropped from it?

Apparently, there are other things that Barron wants to do that don't include just passively sitting down and watching stuff. Which means we're limited in how many things we can play on the night.

I would like Chaos;Head to be played (along with Ga-Rei Zero at some stage) but probably as final playlist item....

Well, the big event is ON TOMORROW!!

I hope everybody will be on their best behaviour (or else I will subject everyone in the room to watching something I can't mention here for fear of being killed).

...and above all, HAVE FUN!!! :D

well, looks like i'll be showing up only for long enough to see the first ep and grab the playlist. i guess it's my fault for being a streetgeek admin, really.
i'll probably also want to grab a copy of the show that may not be be mentioned, it sounds like i would get a laugh out of it

Not a huge number. But Barron was judging, and you have to appeal to his sense of humour to get anywhere. 8)

Anyways, the few crappy photos I took last night:

Cheers.
