Gyabo! I need a new J-Comedy/drama to Watch

by asurin » Wed Dec 19, 2007 7:21 pm

Just finished watching the live action Nodame Cantabile, which is awsome*.
I want to watch another good show, so hopefully someone (probably Mappy) knows of one.

This begs a question: is there anywhere that keeps a database of J-Drama like anidb and animenfo do for anime?

I think Brian is talking about the Nodama J-Drama, as opposed to the anime.

I found both to be mirrors of each other. Live-Nodame is a little more annoying than anime-Nodame, and Live-Milchy is definitely FAIL, but otherwise there is little to choose between them.

Hey, looks like I don't need to go searching! I think that's the website I found a while back... it looked different then though.

There's a live action of Hataraki Man? Coincidently I'm finally getting around to watching that anime.

Galileo looks promising so I'm getting that. It is a detective show with the obligatory romance added. In the first episode a punk gets his set of fire, skull charred. the female detective teams up with a male uni professor to solve the case. He finds it all rather amusing.

Hopefully the subs won't take long. Project-S are doing soft subs and SARS will be doing hard subs.

I have watched the first two episodes of "Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e". It's a has similar elements to "She's the man", and "Ouran High School Host Club".

"Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e" is about Ashiya Mizuki, a girl who sneaks into a all guy school to help her idol. The school takes students based on their looks, so roughly half the guys could pass as girls.
It is based on a manga (like everything else that is good). http://niko-niko.net/hanakimi/

Sounds scarily like this.
