Everyone's favourite animated and anti-$ bands are back...

by Last Exile » Sat Nov 10, 2007 2:15 am

Since they're technically not anime, I can't post it there so I guess this is the proper place.

After watching Sin City tonight, which was just freaking awesome, I accidentally click the change channel button instead of the off button, which turned out to be a good thing. The clip featuring a certain brain-damaged angel-voiced guy and a butt-kicking asian teen guitarist answered my hopes for over a year.

Rumours/interview connotations that Gorillaz were finished are not true after all.

D-Sides - out 19th of this month. Rock It is the first single. Clip is quite amusing. It sounds a bit different from what was on Demon Days but it is quite catchy.

I know Atory is quite a Gorillaz fan too and that several other people of the AJAS/UniSAGA community like them too, so I thought I'd let you know in case you didn't.

Either way, stoked that Damon Albarn has kept this going. He's a freaking genius.

Speaking of Brit geniuses, has anyone downloaded the new Nickelback album In Rainbows from inrainbows.com ? Yes, it's legal to. You pay the amount you want for the album and you get it all. If someone has it, I'd love to get it ASAP. If not, I'll front the fee to get it downloaded. It's gotten damn amazing reviews and they're still my favourite band a decade on. Must have it. Thom Yorke is just...brilliant.

I've got it, paid £0.00 for it. Just to see if there was a lower limit on the price. (and there is - you can't enter a negative number)
Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian is nowhere near as funny as the original.

There are four autonomic responses, and they all start with F. Fright, fight, flight and making love. -Dr Karl

Here's the clip for Rock it:

If you're wondering what the statue in the back is, it's supposed to be a demonic entity called Pazuzu, who in some mythologies represented the southeast wind, which brought storms and drought. The heads being blasted around everyone are supposed to be some current celebrities but I couldn't figure out who they were.
