Happy Birthday!

Mine's the 20th of October.

I'm guessing you're somewhere between 20 - 30?

Yeah, but last year I had a couple of incidences where bouncers werent sure whether I was even an adult, which I found just bizzare.

You've all missed my 38th by a couple of months.

I've always looked older than I am. I was getting into hotels and clubs without challenge at 14. 8)

Is this because they doubt your age or because they want to give an accurate description to the police?

Barron , Ryan and James can vouch this ...

Going to Pubs (especially the Elephant Bar) required that I produce an ID ....

even when I easily surpass the ages of those 3 above persons by the clear mileage .

I'd try a nonchalant whistle but I'm more likely to cough up a lung at the moment. As long as I'm not sick in Madman's fashion, I consider myself to still be healthy.

Malaysia is now having an isolated case of bird flu ...

Would you over there have contracted something from the Rundle Mall sparrows + pigeons ?

What is more likely to happen?

1. People come down with a human strain of H5N1 from sparrows and/or pigeons in Rundle Mall?

2. People get attacked and mauled by Indian Mynars in Rundle Mall?

Place your bets now.

Oddly enough, I didn't come down with anything at the meeting, despite being in Ryan's coughing and spluttering presence a few times. I've probably caught the bug 32 times this year, already, and developed an immunity. 8)

I think I gave you one before about five weeks ago, atory, im not sure, I apparently contacted this bad, bad strain of cold from someone at taekwondo ( and yes, most of the taekwondo students there was knocked down with that strain -_-)

as for the ID cards, I've never been asked for my proof of age card ever since I was 19 until earlier this year.... and I'm almost 23! People can be pretty silly when they look at my card's d.o.b then at me then back at the card and id wearly retort " Yes I know I look younger than I am." (one of my old friends, when I was 19, he forgot my age and said I'm 14.... -_-)

I'd said this earlier in the thread, but I've always looked older than I really am. Most people don't believe MadGreg is older than me, because I'm the living embodiment of a wreck, but at 14 people thought I was 19-20 years old, so at 38 I must surely be approaching 50. 8)

That's true but when you're in your late teens, early twenties, the last thing you'd need is people to think you're in your early teens heh so it's true about older people wishing theyd be assumed to be younger than they are, BUT I find when youre older or younger, that when you want that to happen
(people mistaking you for younger age that is or older), it never happens!

oh gawd yeah, height is also a factor in that... im only 5'4... pretty handy when it comes to kicking against a man though because I once did a hard back kick into the teenage boy I was working with at taekwondo when we had to do kicking drills against the kick-pad. true story. I told him since I cant see over my shoulder that well during back kick ( consisting of a sort of spin and kick behind us) and I may kick him down low. he said ok sure, ill watch out.. and went back to not paying attention.. I did a really good, strong back kick, hit the padding but little did I know that I was too strong in my kick because instead of blocking the blow to the nuts, the padding slammed back into him hard there and then I returned to starting position, saw nothing, looked down and he was on the floor, kneeling and moaning. instructor told him off :|

yeah... but theres cons with that especially in art stores when you need canvas frames and they on the top of a very high shelf, higher than you can reach and yeah it happened to me, I tried to grab the edge of one wooden part of the frame and the whole lot fell on me, raining down from above my head.... salesman nearby didnt even help me -_-

Last Exile was half right...

the poor kid werent paying attention, too distracted by a black belt and a brown black belt doing their kicking drills and held the padding the wrong way.... so I hit where I intended to hit but it ended up slamming back into his crotch with the way he held it...
